WELL another Guy gets a SHED..well almost!!
Well took the plunge today and bought at auction!!!
http://images2.au.reastatic.net/800x...0606122403.jpg Has large double carport that we'll close in once we're in .....then as the funds start to build-up again we're going to excavate the driveway (Nearly 2 mtrs in height from base of carport and 8 mtrs to the footpath)....for a street level double garage and workshop basically where the existing carport is!! So begins another shed story well as of the 16th of Oct...I'm going to be busy seeing I'm at Bathurst the week prior for 5 days!!!...or maybe I should ask for an early settlement and watch Bathurst in my new room!!!..:3DSMILE: http://images2.au.reastatic.net/800x...0606122404.jpg |
.....wow, and wow.
There's more sheds than cobras here, but what a movie room, and love the idea of the lower level garage and upper level workshop. Definitely the way to do it. Treeve |
Must have been a good deal, the Prowler would have knocked a few bucks off the price

Pretty happy got it for around 65k less than we thought it would go for!! Prowler also had a 300 SRT8 to keep it company!!:) |

Nice house Paul. Looks well established.
Yeah Treeve, I am all for a "Shed Thread" |
Thats not a Prowler, it is a PT Cruiser.
Love the theatre room, I also heard on the radio today while I was playing in my shed, the word "Mancave" is now in the dictionary. |

Theatre room isn't staying so I do believe it will end up in my to be built sub-terrainian (is that a word)...."MAN -CAVE"-WORKSHOP -GARAGE!!! |

Paul, Well done a neat house. What suburb are you living in now. The ideas on the garage and workshop makes sense as the driveway now is difficult to park and work on cars. I love the cinema room it would be ideal for a Bathhurst day at home... Yes a Shed thread would be good. Would see some great ideas.. |
Bernie,
Currently in Kew,smack bang in the middle of all the major private schools ,won't miss the traffic !! Putting a Roller or panel door on straight away to secure area and a nice flat conrete area exists at the moment at rear of carport for working on cars!!..will have to suffice for the short term!! Need to get out of here ,we were hoping to keep it as investment but decided to sell ...we still haven't got our place on the market but that will happen in the next 2 weeks!! Would have loved to have had Bathurst here but I'm going up this year in a luxury Winabago for 5 days.!!! :D I do believe I must recreate the Theatre room as part of the "MANCAVE";) |
Paul
Sounds good. All the best with the move and the sale of your current place. Yes inner suburban does have problems. Our Geelong home is between Geelong College and Geelong Grammar, so a little bit of noise on sports days - but no real problem. Just the Mums in their tractors picking up and dropping off the kids!!! Is the new home close by. Or further out and less noise from schools - just birds in trees!! |
Bernie,
Thanks ....only a further 15 mins at the most ...waratah drv lower templestowe - Google Maps.,but really quiet street no advantaged thoroughfare for anything...high side of hill, really close for park and ride transport to the City for Janene's Docklands job though another 25 min for me to work :(..... Primary School 200 mtrs away for my daughter!!...and yes lots of birds in trees....http://images2.au.reastatic.net/800x...0606122404.jpg |
Nice work Paul.
I got excited when you said a shed for Guy (capitalised) - I thought you'd bought ME one! Lower Templestowe is pretty close (Rosanna) - look forward to your shed day! Hopefully I'll have mine done by then too so I can reciprocate. |
Small world, I lived out at Eltham before leaving the city bustle behind.

-- Congratulations on all fronts Paul. Kew - isn't that the financial capital of Victoria? & Eltham... where the city meets the country. Both very nice parts of town. Best wishes for filling that house with all your memories and turning from a house into your family home. :) Anth |

I left as a 21 year old in 1990. When we moved there (1980) every second block was a vacant one, great place to grow up. 126 Arthur st was the house, there is now a round about out the front |
