The footy.
Hey Waz, did you see it?
You know, ... that game last night where Australia's best halfback kicked out on the full, and the blokes in the striking maroon jumpers got so knocked up running in all those tries that the other mob in those faded blue shirts scored a couple while the maroon guys were getting their breath back?
And where that Thurston bloke even hurt himself just to give the guys in blue a bit of a chance ... but they couldn't do much even then!
They're saying the maroon guys won No.6 for their No.6. That can't really mean that they've won six on the trot can it?
Is the sun shining a bit brighter today and does Caxton St look like a bomb hit it? Or is that just me?

I was lucky enough to be able to get a ticket in the 40 minutes it took to sell out the game.... Go the Reds!
We haven't done too bad this year. We won the Mens and Womens national soccer titles, the Womens Netball, the State of Origin, the Broncos are looking good....
Lets not talk about AFL......

Don't forget there's a State of Origin battle in the upcoming Nationals....
Maybe they could get Ricky Stewart to coach them.....That would be excellent......
Cheers,
Warren

Great! And then he could get them all to turn up at Eastern Creek on the same day the World Super Bikes were on, and then complain there was a conspiracy to prevent his having a private practice.

Yellow n Black
Well you did title this thread "the footy" but you meant to say rugby as they seem to toss the ball far more than they foot it - no!
Thought you might have been talking about a Tigers win I'd somehow slept or dreamt through. Ninthmond here we come - again - DoH
All this nonesense about tree trunks running amuck on a field and belting into each other, the refs and anything else.....well bring back the Wally I say!!

Footy YEAH - how good were those Eagles tonight, knocking off the top team!
That's two of the top four in the past three weeks. Gotta live it up as it may not last...

Now Stephen you getting a bit confused here mate-let me straighten it out for you. As usual what most of you mexicans don't understand is that when you say Rugby you don't know which game are you referring to do
Let me explain it so you can try & understand.
What you are referring to in saying Rugby is a game played by 15 gentlemen is called Rugby UNION - This game IS NOT the game played in the State of Origin series.
Now the game played in the STATE of ORIGIN is played by 13 gentlemen & is called Rugby LEAGUE and won well by QLD for a record 6 series in a row.
If that sounds a bit confusing so I'll make it simpler for you
So try to remember this Rule of Thumb
Rugby Union is a THUGS game played by Gentlemen
Rugby League on the other hand is a gentlemen's game played by THUGS
I hope this will help you understand the difference between the 2 games.
Rog
