Andy i need a new car for my collection.....i already have the "all Ford" bits car so now i might try the all "Holden Bits" car.....i may just get him to finish it off for me and have no more "shared driving" at the Nats
After all when its all finished i think it will be too nice to get rid of

Default Now for some colour.

The orphan is off to the painters.

Now to decide what colour, thinking of a darker blure instead of Guardsman.

This is the hardest part of a cobra build.

Phil

I have had a chance to get some work done on the orphan this week.

The body will be finished this week went for PPG Guardsman blue and Wimbledon white stripe.

With the body off the chassis I have finished up the gilmer drive set up and water plumbing.

I am trying hard to make the LS3 look like a real engine.

Love the way you've routed the heater hoses Phil. Are all those bits from Speedflow?

Looking good Phil, can't wait to see it finished.
Did you stuff from the front to the back to make it look more like a real engine?

Great work Phil.

I like those Edelbrock covers - I need to get me some of them.

Phil any pics of the rear of the engine? Or trade secret :-)

I looked into those Edelbrock coilpack covers, they're cast aluminium. Would the extra heat build-up do any damage to the coils over time?

Some great ideas and attention to detail there Phil. You are not going to want to sell this when you are done.

Cheers

Default Progress

I have had the chance to do some more work on the Orphan.

I have molded the intake in fiberglass, needs to be finished off but I think you will see the idea. It runs the GMPP wire loom and you can see the maf port on the intake tube.

All factory sensors are used.

I have also run all of the fuel, oil and water lines on the chassis.

The dash is covered in leather and all gauges, switches and lights fitted. I have gone for a traditional feel.

The body is almost painted so should see them back together by the end of the week.

Phil
