I think Brent has mentioned before that it's a "server issue". He seems to have customised the vBulletin software a fair bit, but it's hard to say whether the forum software is at fault, or it could be server load, database issues, etc.

Not a new one...this is an ongoing glitch that is known...and it is server-side, not at anyone's end.
--> No need to continually report it.
If a few refreshes don't bring the page back up, then the server is in a fault state and will be reset.
thanks

I think that reporting is our only way of monitoring the state of the system. Unlike other similar systems it gets overloaded and I guess, from time to time, we wonder why it isn't upgraded.

I often encounter problems loading the site...
Often using different computers.
Often different violations, but mostly of the sort that makes me think it's server over load?!
I normally give it some time and try again.
It is a little hit and miss, and can be frustrating, but its always a pleasant warm & fuzzy feeling when it does eventually load.

Tonight...29-9-11 it took ages to load from a saved address. So I closed it and punched it in again on Google search and it started up faster....took a while to open a thread.

Any one else still having problems? Seems to be server limitations again.

That type of error is definitely server-side, but not due to limitations.
If it is transient, hit refresh a few times and usually the problem goes away.
If it does not, then check back later, after maintenance.
