Default Finished!!!

Hi all,
It's been a while since I last posted. I've been out of action for the last 8 months so progress on the car has been slowed somewhat.
The car has been painted and trimmed in the meantime so it's at last finished (I think - although I'm not sure they are ever finished). I just want to be able to drive it although my daughter is pretty chuffed as she gets to ferry me around.
The paint is Mazda winning blue, pearl white stripes with a slight blue highlight.
Interior is all black except the carpets which are charcoal.

Peter

Another fine Harrison! I like the way you have picked out the Dragways with the black paint in the grooves, the charcoal carpet and black seats look great, the small "AC" door trims (where did you get those?) and the number plate!

Thank Merv,

The sill plates are grooved aluminium extrusions from Bunnings. Then I counterbored them to fit an AC badge.

There is a bit of Bunnings in most cars Peter. Very neat!

Luv the colour and strips and interior looks great.

Hope you get to drive it soon.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Love the number plate.

Is it just the light or is there neons under the dash? Looks like blue lights.

Beautiful car mate, you must be really happy with the way it's turned out. I hope that whatever has had you out of action for the last 8 months is OK and that you can get some miles on the car.

That looks great.
Its all the little touches that finish it off so well and that the more you look the more you see.
Very very tidy, congratulations to you and hope that you are driving it again soon.

Thanks everybody for the kind words and also for the assistance you gave me during the build. I would love to do another one - the Harrison kit is very easy to work with, it's probably not worth a divorce (although cheaper).

Greg - I doubt that I will make the next club meeting, seeing the surgeon next week. I should be right for April - Melbourne weather permitting.

Nicho - The badges came from Billet Badges ( www.billetbadges.com ). They'll make anything from a sample, photo or drawing.

Merv - The seats came from ( http://www.classicandsports.com.au/ ) in Melbourne.

Zedn - The floor lighting is blue high intensity leds. The Reversing lamps are super bright white leds too.

The hoses in engine bay need tidying up. I also plan to fabricate an air box with cold intake. I'm considering a mafless setup too.

The size of the glovebox was useles so I put the radio and 12V outlet in there.

So much to like about your car Peter - Im still running that style maf in mine - its bigger than most but still must restrict a bit and limits options for intake design. These Edelbrock coil covers are very nice and would tidy up things alot, I was able to run must the wiring and vacuum hose(s) underneath them as well.

Tenrocca

Your engine bay is sensational. You've really thought a lot about simplifying and tidying it up. You've given me some real food for thought..

Thanks Peter - every idea from PhilM or stolen from someone else so cant really take any credit. One bit at a time - everything you can hide or disguise tidies it up a little. Beejay has a very nice LS1 engine bay if you looking for ideas as well. Coil covers, a couple of alloy bottles and some black braided hose\cable wrap works wonders.

Cheers
