Jonesy - perhaps that's why he has good prices on Cobra and GT40 stuff?

Please read the thread "Venom Motorsport Beware" and the truth does come out.

I bought a Kit from David Tucker on ebay and left a $500 deposit for a kit that cost $6500 back in 2010.

The promised refund has not eventuated and it is unlikely that the refund will be made.

I cannot believe his "Cock and Bull " alleged explanation that he made a loss on reselling my kit!
It is surprising that ebay has banned David Tucker from operating on that website if I am too accept was is claimed.

It appears that Venom Motorsport has alot of creditors!

PS In view of the above I would source some elses bodies AC cobra whether it be new or second hand.

I was lucky enough to buy RMC Series 3 shell back in June 2012 in ebay's sisters website relatively cheaply and the rebuild is well under way.

I used all my skills to build up this project and I have sourced most Ac Cobra bits from Ebay UK and USA.

You might be lucky and buy some Cobra bits locally.

I have been given alot advise from CC forum members which is greatly appreciated especially the RMC brigade.

Good Stuff Reno!

I am a good detective-Hmm!

Please read the the flip side to this thread-" Venom Motor Sport Beware "

There seems to be some support which I despise!.

How are you battling health wise?

Debt Recovery!

I do not know the circumstances of the $3k deposit made for the GT40 kit but if payment was made via a direct deposit or via Credit card there are legal remedies available.

Statute of limitations does apply for all debts and it is valid for six years.

The Credit Card Act has certain protocols which you can Google and get alot of information with remedies available.

Time limits do apply!

The Small Claims Tribunal is helpful but you must consider =Cost Versus Benefit.

If payment was made via paypal you could have raised a dispute and won!

Payment via Paypal is the best form of defence/protection than direct deposit and should be AVOIDED AT ALL COST!

If payment was made via Mastercard and Visa your recourse would be via the Banks which is time consuming and messy whereby you must provide all the necessary information but it is worthwhile and you should win for non delivery of the said goods.

Recovery of outstanding monies could be upto six months using the Banks/Credit Card Chargeback Facilities.

To recover my $500 back in 2010 it would cost me $170 just to open the claim and it must be remembered that each party meets its own cost.

That $170 with inflation would be perhaps be in $200 today's money.

David Tucker would have gone down this path and knows the procedure.

The Small Claims Tribunal tired to talk to the principal and it fell on deaf years.

Nothing happened just like the personal representations made to a acquaintence of Mr David Tucker.

In view of the above it is worth pursing your debt.

By all means my view is not complete and should be only regarded as a guide.

Having been in business for many years now, chasing $500 is a complete waste of time.
Most unscrupulous operators know this and work it to their advantage.

If you are owed more, of course chase it up, but if not cut your losses and move on.
I too are not a fan of this dickheads way of doing business but it is not worth developig a stomach ulcer over!

Hi Reno.

You would be extremely interested in the fact that David Tucker is trying to sell his business on Gumtree for $120k and the reason is ill health.

Merc Gullwing kit??

Hi everybody,
I going to risk being hung drawn and quartered on my first post, by asking if anyone knows where I can get a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing body kit in Australia.
Perhaps someone has some moulds etc.
I feel like building something that mercedes can crush LOL.
I do also love cobras- really!
Cheers

Give Craig at Absolute Pace a call.

From memory he was building one for a customer.

Cheers,

Ben

byroncobra 07-11-2013 05:56 PM

yeah Ben, saw that too.
It was hiding under wraps at Craigs' old factory, a US import with 'compliance issues' perhaps...?

BMK 07-15-2013 03:58 AM

Yes photo in my gallery - but saying where it is. But Craig may know..%/

Towmaster 07-16-2013 06:45 AM

It's being worked on somewhere in Brisbane, I saw it just tonight.
But yes send a PM to 400TT he is the project manager for this kit & should know where it is from.
