Single post hoist ?

Hi Guys,

Daughters are driving now and more cars to store !

Does any body have any experience in a single post hoist/parking system ?

I need to store both Cobras and these look good.

Thanks in advance.

Soul, there were 3 on ebay about 3 mths ago out from Adelaide and all were 3 phase I think....

Not much help I know. I considered these also. Good for parking, not so good for working on cars etc but its sounds like parking is what your after?

I think tufflift or superhpist plus do a single post hoist...

Bend Pac has a single post commercial quality Auto-Stacker. I have an earlier model made in USA. Works perfect, no problems. Center plates are structual and will hold most any mass, but can be easily removed (very heavy) to work on car. Before you buy one though, check and make sure the quality is there, I believe they have shifted production to China.....you know how that goes.

Single Post Lifts

Mando 03-29-2012 07:44 PM

I know that they are probably as safe as a 2 or 4 poster but they really scare me! :o

Regards.

Single post hoist ordered.

Thanks guys,
Ordered portable single post hoist, here in a month.

Now for the dilemma .... Kirkham on top or bottom.

Kinda like being in prison , is it better to give or recieve ?

Maybe the arntz can be the safety net!

Hi guys,
Where did you end up getting your hoist from. I have 2 Falcon XB coupes and have been looking for a cheap 4 post to store them but the single post might work as well or does anyone know of any other frame to store a car above another?
Thanks
Jonesy

I bought a 4 post from a bloke named Clive in SA. He was selling them for a hobby...now it's a full time job. The sticker on this particular unit says DIRECT LIFT. google that ant you'll find Clive !

Nice work :)
Which ever car leaks goes underneath... or get a bigger garage :p

Is that garage roof beams heavy enough to take a chain? If so you may want to have a chain hang down that could have a shackle or similar that could attach to the hoist when up. Then again they are rated for 1000 kg.

Good luck.

Hoists

Jonesy,

The 4 post hoists are normally cheaper than the 2 poster and MUCH cheaper

Than the single post.

I have both, if I could only fit one type it would be the 2 poster, easier for

Repairs but more of a pain for parking.

Depends on what they will be used for.........

P.S. also ave an XC coupe

Keep an eye on Grays online for a 4 post, or ears open for workshops closing down.
I recently bought a 4 tonne 4 post with 3 phase for $500

Hi Craig,

Sold it straight away to a lovely bloke that's going to restore it to its former glory!

Perhaps he might join in some time , soon?

How did you go with yours?

Soul.

750hp 04-22-2014 02:48 AM

Oh, just that you said the Arntz can be the safety net under the hoist, so I figured you still had it.

I'm keeping mine now. Fitting a big block and some side pipes :)
