Penske jewellery arrived

Have been waiting on these shocks for months, they took ages for various reasons. This artwork is too nice to hide under the guards, maybe they should be hung on the wall!

These are 7500 double adjustable with digressive and VDP piston

Oh they are nice. Makes my AVO's look like a pogo stick!

400TT 06-20-2012 03:40 PM

It doesn't get much better than that.

You won't be disappointed with them.

DaveW 06-20-2012 07:09 PM

Ben, what time should I expect you around to do trial fit ? :)

Mando 06-20-2012 09:10 PM

I'm in love! How about posting some pictures of your build so far, it would be great to see what you've done. :o

Regards.

Yeah Baby!!!!!!!!

Looks like the bar has been lifted once again, might turn my attention to VWs now.

Yes an update is needed.

Ben, I reckon they'd look great on Davew's chassis :-)

You might have to update the paint on your chassis to suit the shocks :-)

Ben you are right works of art.

Great blog Ben. A real asset for others as well. The one that I most relied on when I was building was Geoff's (Cob07) and that was so helpful.

Rog246 06-21-2012 03:31 AM

Ohhh I think I just got a chub!!..........................

Just checked... yep I definitely do !:p

Legless 06-21-2012 03:53 AM

I'm suffering a severe case of Penske envy!%/

Mando 06-21-2012 05:48 AM

Modena, did you buy the shocks locally, or from the states?

Regards.

Modena 06-21-2012 07:37 AM

Penske USA will put you on to Penske Australia, who is NT Tyres in Adelaide. The shock design and build spec is done here, components are distributed by USA and then assembled and dyno'd locally. Bill at NT Tyres really knows his stuff.

The shocks also come with a technical manual, which includes FULL instructions, full graphs of rebound and bump adjustment ranges, full exploded component diagrams, dyno charts for your actual shocks, detailed spec sheets as per your shock design and build, I mean this shock manual is very impressive and bigger than most Cobra assembly manuals. If people are interested in seeing it I can maybe scan it?

Call the doctor.... I know it's going to last more than 4 hours! Those are sweet!

jcraigau 06-22-2012 02:46 AM

Your Cobra had a manual?

They are certainly a thing of beauty!

xlr8tr 06-22-2012 11:51 AM

Very nice!!! Sounds like the valving is very custom: what kind of information does penske require to set up the shocks for your specific car?

Modena 07-09-2012 03:55 AM

A couple of people have asked to see the manual, so I scanned it in;

Enjoy!
