STIFFY

That was the one that went at last year's Muscle Car shootout..in the Red race Cobra...
now has a new DART block...all good.

ALSO...

Split a stroker windsor down the middle ( same as the last one) in 2004...one week after we had built the brand new stroker on the street Cobra.

After these ...I HIGHLY recommend DART blocks....the old standard windsor blocks don't like the stresses caused by the lateral "swing" of the stroker crank.

Cheers,
Warren.

Ford built a factory stroker windsor motor based on the 5.0 block. I've owned 2 of them now. They used a 3.4" stroke crank on the standard 4" bore for 342 cubes.

The factory fitted a main bearing girdle to strengthen the block and they are a fairly low reving beast, Rev limiter on these motors is set to 5750RPM. Probably to help the motor live and so they can give it a factory warranty.

Ford made a promotional video on the engine build at the time.

Cheers

Default Sunny days

Looking forward to the weekend end of cobra action.

Don't worry about the weather as I am not competeing it will be sunny days

The orphan had the carpets done last week and frustratingly need some rework to get them perfect, so it will just have to do for now.

Took it for another drive around the block, the TKO 600, 3.45 rear and an LS3 are a perfect combination.

Phil
