Fastest Track Cobra on Race Tyres was Geoff T in his ByDesign: 1:03:45

These are seriously FAST times.

Both Ash & John have around 450HP, I think Geoff has around 550HP. Geoff has noticably more power anyway than Ash & John.

Engine HP is just one of many factors in going quick at Wakefield.
Those HP figures are rear wheel not flywheel HP. Yes Geoff Tauntons 7 litre LS engine makes 571 hp at the tyres..... Some serious stuff for a light car. Gary Hall's BDM race car makes 470 at the tyres but is under 1000kg with him in it. I know mine is a little over 1300kg with me in it & I think Johns
GT40 is around the same weight. Wayne Proctor also did a high 1:05 in his street registered Harrison. As did Warren & Ron in Warrens red racer (harrison with 6 litre ford) Peter Hancock did a mid 1:07 in a street registered DRB with a mild 302 Windsor.... With about 300 rear wheel hp. The times were definitely tumbling for everyone it seemed.
