Classic Revival Visit
While in Sydney over the weekend I took a train ride to Hornsby and visited Classic Revival. Ian gave my a very informed description of his Round Tube Chassis design and the way the CR Body is constructed. He spent a good hour talikng and showing me one of his clients cars. Once we were all talked out Ian took me for a spin in ID 427. What a Blast!!!! I was very impressed with the way Ian's car handled and drove down the road. I won't forget that ride for sometime :D:D

Now i know why Ian hasn't rung me to tell me my chassis and body is ready to pick up. Sounds like you have delayed my cobra from being built for another couple of hours.
Oh well nowhere to put it yet anyway. lol |
I didn't take any more pic's, too busy talking plus the Misses was getting bored.

I notice Ian has some new wheels now - Ozwheels no longer making Halibrand replicas. Did you ask what they were? I know a couple of the guys in VIC are looking at wheel options at present? Also, not sure if you noticed or not, did you see how he does the rear Roll hoop stay and whether it still fouls on the bar that holds the rear boot lid hinges? Daryl - also take a look at the Harrison chassis and even the new Absolute Pace car. I am sure that these have been mentioned, however. Depending on your size and weight some cars can be too small.

Gregg; I spoke to Ian about Wheel & Tyre size but not the supplier. I didn’t notice any fouling with the rear Roll hoop.
Merv; I am planning a trip up North early 2013 and hoping to Visit Harrison & Absolute when I do. I sat in the car in the photo above and had no problems with leg room. |

I was very impressed with the Absolute Pace cobra body that was in the race shed next to my car at Wakefield Park. Perhaps Craig can post a photo or two... |

beauies why is the body grey? Has Ian changed the gel coat?

He just had some grey left over so he did this one grey, but the doors and bonnet were manufactured first in white gel coat.
So will look a bit weird for a while until she sees paint. |

Looking good, do you know what the clamps are being used for on the gaurds ? I cant think of anything under the arches that needs clamping. Dave |

Dave wouldn't the clamps would be holding the inner guards in place while epoxying?
