Hi all,
I have just checked car park photos and crowd photos and estimate the visitors to the Shelbyfest event this year exceeded 300 visitors, with around 60 cars in the car show area, behind the administration office and to the side of the office. Visitors were in front of the kiosk and up on the grassed area on the turn.
The number of visitors and cars were really up on last years, where we saw a couple of cars and the handful of visitors to the track.
I need to acknowledge a few people who sponsored the promotion side of Shelbyfest including the free listings in papers and magazines along with the articles and photos in local newspapers and the 30 second radio adds on local radio.
Additionally, the 5000 brochures that were distributed were sponsored by Just Cars and McDonalds Restaurants.
Promo brochures were distributed at the - All Ford Day, the Phillip Island Classic and the F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne. Brochures went into a variety of auto businesses and local Winton area businesses thanks to our friends at the Glider City Motel at Benalla.
1200 brochures were handed out by F1 grid girls at the F1 thanks to the guys and girls from FastFord

With some good planning and everyone who was involved promoting the 2014 event, we will get more cars and visitors. But we need to tell everyone about the event as word of mouth and sending emails out will get more visitors and competitors along in 2014.
