It's the same with the Harrison and using the VR rack - it needs 0.5mm off each side.

It's pretty hard material, and I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble machining such a small job? I did mine with a second cut file with a safety edge, using a vernier caliper to keep it bang on square, didn't take long and theres no need to take the rack apart.

Thanks Ryder, I look into that.

Been busy with work in the back yard lately with the driveway going in so didn't get much done on the weekend. I did finally get the right size alternator belt (3rd time lucky) 4PK760 was too long, 4PK740 too short, 4PK750 just right.

I'm using what would normally be the airconditioning pulley on the crank to drive the alternator. This leaves the main belt for the PS and water pump amd lets me keep a good belt wrap on the PS pump. The Alternator tensioner setup probably wouldn't have worked real well with everything on the one belt.

I'm working hard to get it back on the road. I'm tired of looking at it sitting in the shed. I want to drive it again.

Cheers
