Divco Milk truck at moto x
Anyone going to moto x look out for the unveiling of a divco milk truck
You can't miss it as it stands out and is big |
Is that the one recently rebuilt by a certain Qld Cobra Club member that drives a 1 million HP gas fired beast?
|
it just might be
|
Ill post some pics I got on my phone after the weekend as I can't show anyone till after the show
|
I'm going on Sunday, will check it out.
Did you wire it? |
Saw this one unveiled tonight.
great workmanship, very different! Ben |
yes took me awhile as it has many extras
|
Nice car, but I was shocked at this weld.
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/data/500/image36.jpg Just very ordinary for a car of this standard and right in plain sight. It kind of looked like a crappy weld that was half ground. Don't know why they didn't tig it or grind it smooth. |
Ok cool
Ill SMS him about it |

Jeez, when did we become such a tough crowd??? |
Ha ha,
Dont get me wrong, its a very cool car and very unique. In a place full of great cars it stands out, but that weld was just the first thing i saw. The guys standing next to me were saying the same thing. I know it sound stupid commenting on the weld, but on a world class show car it just pops out. Looks like it should be on my car! |
hehe ive seen many cobras with ****ty welds too haha
I got pics on sideshows facebook page but its just 2 pics before it came down to Sydney and one my friend sent me from the show didn't get time to get some pics from the inside |
The car belongs to Joe Bauer. He has the supercharged Harrison that made 900 ish rwhp and a lot of people rubbished him for doing a burnout on his wedding day. He's a nice bloke, he told me about this project at last years muscle car event at QR. He also won the Xmas lights competition on the Gold Coast this year.

Loved it
It was the first thing I wanted to see and it certainly stood out from the Toranas and 32 roadsters,
Loved the concept, colours and the big fat tires, knowing whose it is now he must be mellowing out a little. However, I think it suffered from the ran out of time syndrome. Was disappointing to see the finish, probably not what I would call an elite car. But I would certainly have it in my shed. Phil |
hey ash joe is a nice guy
we take our traxxas erevo 4wd rc buggies out for some bashing sometimes with the kids he does like to have fun and enjoy life we were still working on the car days before it had to goto Sydney but hey we all have built cars before and most of us run into the last minute up all nights to get them done and u should have seen his house when he won the xmas lights contest last year I was heading out there late one night 2 days before xmas to look over the job and my kids had the biggests smiles on their faces when we got there his cobra aint bad either |
So does anyone have a picture?
|
I think most people were taking pics of the weld
try here I've only got afew https://m.facebook.com/sideshow1600?...990919528&_rdr |
Almost there
I was just surprised by the fit and finish of the trim and the amount of paint chipped away on edges.
As I said looks like it was just rushed to get it done, nothing that cant be fixed. Still my choice at Motorex. Phil |
Looks good, would be good to see whole thing.
|
I can see that it's blown and has an Enderle style hat on it. Sideshow, is it an EFI deal with the injectors inside the hat?
