I can understand the local police monitoring the entrants leaving the event to ensure they behave themselves, much like they do at licensed events with bretho'ing drivers as they leave.
But defecting everyone is a little counter productive considering that such an event is to try to keep silly behavior off the streets. I am yet to be pulled over in my car, I have been closely monitored by the boys in blue but I cause them no trouble so they leave me alone. However, Easter up here is huge with all sorts of motor sports going on, they fly masses of coppers up here for the weekend to keep everything under control so it is a very good time to leave the cobra in the shed (or trailer it to the drags) :) |
