Default Rear spring Rates- Jag IRS

Greetings all;

I'm currently looking at some AVO coil-over shocks for the rear of the car.The rear is Jag and has been modified to accept 2 rear shocks ,not 4.
I have taken advice that ranges from 225lbs to 450lbs.The total weight will be approx1050-1100 kgs with a pretty much 50/50 distribution.I'm chasing a firm ride but dont want to be shaken to death on surburban streets.Any experience's and advice would be appreciated

Cheers

Chris - for what it's worth, these are the springs on my car, which weighs 1048Kg full, weight distribution 48f, 52r. Jag rear end, but 4 x coil overs. Rear end is good for road, maybe a little soft for track, but since it gets road 99% of the time, that's just fine. Ride quality is excellent, no crashing through to bump stops over humps. Still getting a little wheel hop if I try too hard, but only in first, second and up fine. Character of ride easily adjustable via shocks.

Springs are 10 1/2" long, 2 1/4 " ID, 275lbs. Thus 550lbs per side.

HTH

I'm running the four shock Jag irs, with Aldan coilovers, 400 lb springs on each shock. The shocks are set full soft, and the ride is pretty compliant. Even though there's no rear sway bar, rear roll is minimal. Your results may vary!
