Hello All,
The entries officially close this Friday (7th March) so if you are Attending and want the additional goodies that come with the standard Entry please enter by this Friday, it makes it so much easier for the committee. Rohan |
Will be there with bells on.

Can't wait! Shelbyfest is always a fantastic event.

Royalty
Hello All,

We even have royalty coming again this year, STIFFY |
Is that the 2010 or 2011 King Cobra?
|
Stiffy, I need lunch and dinner for 2 on each night/day.
Should I send an entry in or can I pay on the spot? |
You don't eat that much Dave, surely paying for one will be sufficient!! ;)
|
Change that to I don't eat much junk food or pre processed food (now).
I had a regular flat white coffee at Maccas a couple of days ago at about 8pm (first coffee in 6 weeks) I finally fell asleep at 2.30am. |
What time do the festivities begin at the track on Saturday morning Rohan? Just coming up for the day and dinner Sat night.
|
Guy, the sprints start around 9am on Saturday morning.
At this stage I'm going up on Saturday morning. |
anyone got a program of events, I can only make it for one day - trying to decide on which one will be best for checking out the cars and meeting some folk from here perhaps
|
Check the Vic Cobra Club web page for event details.

Saturday would probably be the best day to come and have a look.
|
will be down on saturday for a look, the old family card has been drawn by the wife on sunday.
Couple of the blokes from our car club in albury said they might bring their shelby 350 mustangs down for a look also. |
Saturday
I reckon Saturday is the best day, Qually, smaller crowd and it sorts out
who is quick....... All the BS from pre season testing is put to bed. I will be there Saturday..... STIFFY |
Has the BS started?
|
I'm driving down on Friday but still undecided on track time. How does the Friday session work, eg, how many laps will I get and what is the format - pretty much a free-for-all?
I've only ever done an advanced driving day at Sandown in a FWD car so this will be my first real track experience. Baptism by fire! |
Generally there are three groups that rotate on the track.
Bikes, open wheelers and sedans. We go out with the sedans, there are all sorts with us from minis and Porsche's to GT cup cars. It's not so intimidating once you are out, you just need to keep an eye out for the fast cars, stick to your line and let them pass. |
Friday Practice
Sambo,
If we get enough cars we will have Cobra Only groups on Friday. Don't forget Saturday we have the novice group also. Rohan |
