Good luck to Geoff Taunton is his Marc Car MARC finalises Bathurst 12 Hour driver roster - Speedcafe and also Ash Bright in the support category Sports Sedans in Drew Russells old Commo Cup Car The V8 Sleuth // V8 Sleuth News // FORMER SUPERCARS TAKE PART IN 12 HOUR EVENT.

I hope there are not as many full course yellows this year while cars are being retrieved. In cases where it's obvious that a car is out of the race because of severe damage or a breakdown that isn't repairable, why not take it to the nearest layby, whiz the driver back to the pits and get on with the race instead of having us endure another marathon commercial break or "celebrity" interviews or more chopper shots of the circuit and surrounds while the tow truck slowly wends its way down from the top of the mountain.

This race is one of our very few opportunities to see top overseas teams in action with truly exciting cars, and to see some of our local heroes in something other than four door sedans (think SVG's fantastic effort in the McLaren), so some way of keeping the action flowing has to found. How about Fox Sports showing the race twenty four hours later minus the yellow flag processions? It would only take eight hours... I'll watch the start but when the second yellow comes out I'll hit the record button and go have some morning tea.

Great race. SVG pushing the Kwikmit Porky off with 30 mins to go and then stopping in the middle of the track a low light.

Big thumbs up to Geoff T and Bryce and Co for putting in a stella effort to finish. And a big well done to Ash for failing to qualify for race 1 (front end vibration) and then blasting from about 54th to 16th in the first race or thereabouts and then 2 x 13ths I think in rc and rc3.. Really held his own.

And that little flick turn on the start finish line during race 3 was a SPONSORS DREAM!!!! Bet Wayne bought the beers that night.

Well done fellas.

YouTube link to my incar for race 3 for anyone interested. I'll be back there racing next year if they let me. It was 37 degrees outside & 65 in the car with a 3 layer nomex suit, balaclava etc on.... little bit warm even with cool suit. Car was running around the 230 degree mark .....
