If your missus likes it, it must be good.

I have owned a G Force in the past, great car, well sorted, The body shape has the right look. They are well sorted cars. Jag front and rear suspension and brakes. my Wife cried when i sold mine. Rob is a good bloke, Good choice of car.

I remember when they revealed the new body shell from their new molds. It looked really good. One of the first I'd seen you could pretty much buff the lines off and drive it. For them to have stayed in business this long they must have been doing something right.

Cheers

happy wife happy life they say

At least with this car you wouldn't have to remember to drive onto the other side of the pump at the servo. ;)

guye 05-26-2014 04:34 PM

That looks very tidy, dean. Win win with your wife. And you can detour through Alice on the drive back and compare yellows with boxhead!

stephen low 05-26-2014 05:21 PM

I might be biased but.........

If it's in your price bracket go for it Dean.

The car's ripe for a bit of visual improvement but that is all stuff you can do down the track.

My thoughts on G-Force, have always griped about the rear cabin layout to get seats into but it can be done, the body styling is a nice shape. Jag suspension is getting old but it works and you can improve the rear by going late model XJ40 I think for outboard disc set up and single shocker per side.

Would I get another G-Force - yes.

And as all the others have said if the missus is happy with it, you've jumpep 90% of the hurdles already!!

Good luck

Steve

Oh and ps go Tiges!!!!

Tenrocca 05-26-2014 05:27 PM

I concur with most the comments here - they are a little saggy in the bum but a really nice shape overall. Been around forever and I like the colour - not sure about the fabric trim but thats an easy fix. Go for it.

Cheers

Good luck with it Deano

deano59 05-26-2014 06:52 PM

thanks guys yes the trim needs to be changed that was first on the list to go and maybe a colour change of the body ???see how I get used to the yellow . ima holden bloke by heart but could not have a cobra without a ford engine of some sort . things I liked about the car it has all the brightwork I like exept the rear stainless stongaurds on the rear again a easy fix to buy and fit .

it's a kit that's been around a long time and is still in business I wanted a jag front and rear diff the car runs straight lpg so cheap to run ..I really wanted something that was more old school looking under the bonnet ..it comes with a soft top and tonneau cover as well plus I get a week end away in tassie with the mrs :-)..

Tonus72 05-26-2014 07:42 PM

mmmmm your right about that im hoping on a cold day with the soft top on maybe the demisters may produce enough cabin heat if not I will fig something out 12lt hair dryers work really well..

Wazza 05-26-2014 10:03 PM

I LOVE the heater in the Cobra.....
Direct the heat around the foot wells if you can,
I originally had designed them to come out of the dash,( like "normal" cars)..... But the heat coming out around the shins, sort of washes all over you, rather than being just blown away in the open cabin.

Mine comes out of a real "fancy" outlet....

It's actually just a couple of chrome sink holes ,with click out centres....from the "fancy store".....Bunnings !

Cheers,
Warren

ive pulled the plug on a couple of projects over the yrs but never used the plug to finish them lol . that's thinking outside the sguare

Wazza 05-26-2014 10:47 PM

The "plug holes" idea was actually from Scott Hampson......
He's a clever boy.
They look pretty neat, and with their mushroom shaped head, they sort of fan the hot air out and down around the legs, and then it just sort of rises and washes over you.
He's a smart cookie !
