Default how tall ru and what make of car ?

hi all
just wondering how well people fit into there cars are you tall slim / tubby like me . what make of kit do you drive have you had to modify your seating position ie lower your floor .move you pedals ect ect .

ive been looking at hundreds of cobra pics some people sit really low while others sit like noddy and almost look over the windscreen . the g force I sat I down tassie i sat quite high that took me by surprise a bit tbk but lowering the floor would not be that big a job in the scheme of things ..
so im just after a bit of info on what kits and how well you fit into them .
cheers dean

just on 6 feet and about 80 kgs, the python is a bit of squeeze, the seat is bolted direct to the floor with about 3 inches of cushion and right up against the rear bulk head.
can drive comfortably for about 1.5 hrs before getting a bit sore.
any one over 6 foot and 100kgs really struggles to fit.

I'm 170cm and 80 kg. Have a DRB with lowered floor(level with bottom chassis and sets mounted on 50mm frame. Sit nice and low.........harder to fall out!

Default Rmc

Deano,

I have an RMC and I am 5ft 10" and 75 kilo's, all Cobras are tight

but the Superformance is quite roomy so to are the extended Harrisons,

Kirkams and I would imagine the new AP based on what saw at the nats.

It depends on factors like seat runners and type of seat. There is a car

owned by an ex Victorian President that looks like he could ride in the

Melbourne Cup in the car but he is over 5ft 10 and 75 odd kilos'.

He spent a lot of time modifying the tunnel after his wife mounted the

gutter on a Kids Charity day........

Mine's a standard Harrison and my lithe 5' 10" 102kg frame fits comfortably in rather than on the car.

Keep in mind to look at where your left foot needs to be placed when in cruise.

6' 7" and 240 lbs, I fit quite well, I look through the upper middle of the windshield. Kinda freaks people out when I climb out of that tiny car. Fitment all depends on the frame design. My can-am has a square tube perimeter frame, so I sit down inbetween 2 frame rails, with the seat bolted to the floor, so my butt is literally 4" above pavement. Most frames are round tube with the tube right under your butt, so there goes 4+ inches of "headroom" right there, even with the seat bolted to the floor. Legroom is more of a challenge, that was a bit here/a bit there to get pretty good. To get really good i will need to do some footbox/pedal/header mods.

I'm 6'1" and have to move my seat forward in my CR. However I'm running Kirkey seats and have them set as low as possible in the car. I have a long torso which has me looking at the top of the windscreen frame in most Cobras.

Cheers

My Pace 427SC can comfortably fit a 6'5" driver in the car.

My friend is 6'5" and watched him easily fit in the Pace at Motorclassica last year.

6' 90kg and there's heaps of leg room in the CR.

but you must remember a HEAP depends on the seat choice and how it is mounted, and also personal preference on leg and steering wheel position.

They are the vintage buckets without headrests. The plan is to add some hesdrests via brackets attached to the back of the seat much like pace have done with theirs.

They have been very comfey so far but all I've done is probably a half hour stint in the shed sitting there making broom broom noises.

Cheers

5'-6", 160#. ERA 427. Even with the seat all the way up I needed to adjust the pedals forward. And it's still a reach.

Default Room for driver

Like someone else said, I am also 6' 2" and in my ERA I had to move the seat forward one notch. Seat is not on floor either so visibility is good but head is not above windshield. Love my ERA!
