Oz wheels australia
I know this is a long shot but I'll ask anyway. if anyone has some 17 x 10 or 17 x 9 ZO wheels Australia pin drive wheels laying around that they want to sell. The reason why I am asking is because they don't make them anymore and I would love to have another set for the rear so I can put some drag radials tyres on. I know I could just use standard five stud rims but then I have to take off my Pin drive hubs off every time I go dragging. I went racing for the first time last month and I think I caught the bug. Very hard to get the powerdown with Street radials.

What stud pattern do you need? I have spare pair of OZ centers for 4 3/4" PCD Pin drive. You may be able to get rim halves made up in the right offsets.

Wonder where the wheel center patterns went?. Would be a nice addition for an Australian Wheel manufacturer to add to his range.

With better tyres you will see a huge difference.
I run pretty consistant 7.2 over 1/8th with 1.6 60ft times. I fitted a set of drag slicks and with only 1 scary pass (My LSD centre has failed) the car launced so much better and I had a 1.2 60ft from memory, with a lot of pedalling I got through the finish with 7.0 flat. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...A5218C4BF0.jpg |

Let us know what you come up with? I need a set of 15's
|
From memory my best 1/4 was 12.2 or so.
That was with the 17 inch road tyres (Kumho Excsta KU36) Here is a time slip over 1/4 with Goodyear Billboards. http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/j...psb02831cf.jpg Thats a 1.8 60ft. |

What diff ratio and tyre hight are u running? I do u have to Shift to 5th at the end of your run or do u say in 4th. I was watching this factor 5 video and the are only running 3.2 diff ratio with 430 Bhp and they are pulling 11.5s but they only shift 4 times. Watch is video http://youtu.be/V96-AQ1FghI |
I run pretty consistant 7.2 over 1/8th with 1.6 60ft times.
Are you sure about that Dave... |
1.6 to 1.8 is a very respectable 60' time for a street car. Boxhead, I'm assuming your 1.2 will have been a typo, otherwise you'd have nearly been doing this... ;)

Maybe my memory is shot, I will try find time slips, but could be an error.
Diff is factory 3.47:1 out of AU Falcon. No way am I going to flog Gav, so I must have brain failure. |
No biggy, I reckon yours was definitely in the 7's just not that far ;)
I haven't had mine on a decent track with the truck motor in it but it still managed a respectable 11.3 given there was sand everywhere at the Geelong revival in 2013. |
A few Qlders were at Willowbank a few months ago. Warren, Ash, Wayne..all running in the 10s I think. Was Jim up there as well?
Wazza or Towie, what were your incremental times? |
