Gday Mike.
I was using a big leather faced Thor hammer.
Not good enough apparently.
Now I use a dead blow lead hammer and listen for the change in sound whilst beating it into submission and lock wire the dang thing as well !!
An expensive and embarrassing lesson to learn I might add..
