Home safely after a great weekend. A big thanks to the organisers, volunteers and sponsors for a fun, well organised event. I had a blast! Nice to meet a few "forum people" in real life too.
Now to the person who accidentally lifted my Shelbyfest show bag from the back of a chair at Friday night's pizza gathering... can I have my shirt back? No hard feelings. :D |

Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the Shelbyfest event this year. :( Only had some fun in practice on friday before the car died. Still did get some onboard footage but frustrating and disappointing our weekend was cut short. From what I could see the event on saturday was well run as always! Thanks to the Victoria Cobra Car club for putting on the event, we love it! Well done to the Howison's on the win! Awesome result.
Here are a few onboard videos from the friday... Towards the end of the highlights video you can here a "grinding" sound which we believe is the diff beginning to fail on us. We couldn't hear that driving until it got really bad. |
Sunday was at Winton's new skid pan
Plenty of space but the spectator's had to keep their distance these videos should play fine in full screen (recommended) Trevor's 347 sounds great - overcooked it a bit Tony W (3rd overall) put down a nice clean run Jasons stroker clevo scoffs at his tyres feeble attempts at grip - so he pedals and steers a great run .... right up to the last cone... Overexposure to whatever it is that goes into that fuel cell is bound to have side effects ...Lindsay gets a little 'lost' on the course... LB |
