Don't be like that guys....you're still needed down south of the bridge.

Cheers

Wazza you must be having a brain freeze I was at breakfast a couple of months back even told you Steve Barbe was slaking it. Have been down to S.A attended Cobra Club meeting and the GT40 meet all dam hot at Moree tonight heading home. Then off again for nearly 2 1/2 months Gallipoli Cruise and beyond.

We're in the process of moving to Peachester but the Cobra is still in Yeppoon atm, looking forward to joining a few breakfast runs etc asap.

There should be another Cobra birth out of Hervey Bay soon too.

Or maybe, once some of these "nearly ready" cars see the light of day and the number of Sunshine Coasters grows, you guys might find a spot later in the year for a one-off brekky (or brunch seeing it'll be winter) so we Brisbaneites can vary our normal practice and turn left onto the Gateway, and the Gold Coasters can have the opportunity of getting their cars up to operating temperature before breakfast for a change.

It might also be an ideal opportunity to get our old mate Steve Barbe back into circulation.

Northside has always lacked in the Cobra gatherings! Was the same years ago when I had the last one! Would be good to get some 'localish' gatherings happening.

Wazza 02-28-2015 01:31 AM

Already planning it Don....talk tomorrow.
Cheers,
Warren

Howdy all, I,m at Morayfield and have a 2nd hand Cobra being delivered tomorrow. Then I have the longest ever 3 1/2 weeks at work (fifo) until I see it. Keen to do some laps when I am at home

spookypt 02-28-2015 01:32 PM

My cars due after Easter so I'll arrange a bit of a get together once I'm sorted.

damage 02-28-2015 02:31 PM

So are we going to start a club up here perhaps?

Maybe call it the real QLD cobra club, is Gold Coke actually part of QLD any way LOL.

spookypt 02-28-2015 03:24 PM

Now now mr damage that's not in the spirit of it. There is no intention of that, just a bit of a social network and helping hand for those nearby. Let's leave the previous politics and issues aside. I'm a very happy member of the QLD club. Sure some people get on better than others but that's life.

So let's not go down that road. When I go to a club breaky, lakeside qr mp blat our just a run knowing who's around means I can give them the heads up...or seek their advice or help with my cars etc etc

That's all just extending the network. Peace.

Yes thanks Don, my wife and I were down in Peachester when it crossed the coast Friday morning, my son managed to tie everything down on the Thursday, no damage to the house or shed (housing the cobras), just half the trees down, some over fencing, one large set of branches over another vehicle but no real damage (one broken side mirror), so very fortunate, just several days of clean-up to fit in, friends all faired ok as well, the generators came in handy, several older houses nearby were destroyed or lost their roof so the wind must have been fierce, we couldn't even watch everything unfold as our TV was still in Yeppoon, relied on internet news and jumped on the first available flight back.

Another of my poor attempts at humor, god help it if some one cracked a joke.

spookypt 02-28-2015 11:33 PM

Damage perhaps before your time but the last time years ago that suggestion was made noses got out of joint. A joke in jest is all good just that idea has some previous form.

Gees you blokes are worried about having to travel over the river south to go to a meeting, try living in Airlie Beach about 1150ks one way to get to a breakfast, im probably the furtherest away club member unless someone else has joined further north of me since i joined, my club fees help sponsor your free club meals, i dont get much out of it except to say im in the club,
Just Sayin.
