Another tip, Darryl. The front loop fuel line in front of the pump/filter in the trans tunnel made me nervous, with the tailshaft spin get close by. So I added an extra p-clamp to fix it down near the floor. Just being extra cautious I suppose.
All looking nice. The fuel tank is a bugger of a one-man job isn't it. You seem to have employed all the same ideas I did to manage it :-) |

You certainly cant fault the level of enthusiasm at Herrods for all things Ford. There actually pretty competive on pricing as well, compared to importing! Are you drilling and tapping saddles for the lines your running or are they pre-drilled? |
Guy, thanks for the fuel line tip, definitely worth look at.
Hoitly, the builder has to drill and tap all the holes for the brackets and clips, very easy to do, most of them I pre drill then use the drill on low speed to tap out the hole. |
I don't know how far back your motor will sit but it might be worth putting a spacer under that frontmost hardline bracket. My 351 is quite far back and its almost impossible to get a spanner on that hard line connection at the front with the engine in. If it sat a little more away from the chassis Id be ok.

One of the great joys of building a kit car is chasing parts. For my throttle control I went with a Lokar unit and pedal. With the pedal I only needed the arm. Once the pad was removed I found that the whole unit easy mated with the Tilton Pedal box. All I had to do was cut down the Tilton supplied throttle rod, adjust the accelerator pedal and the two became one. Job Done!

I see your point deano 59 ... yes it's nice to just assemble a car. I did that for years with Monogram, Tamiya and a lot of other models. I actually enjoy the challenge of modifying parts , designing and creating parts for my car. Making it all work under the ridiculous scrutiny of the RMS . The challenge of building something by yourself and for yourself is very satisfying ! Especially when somebody asks where you got that bit and you reply ..I made it myself.
