Post Homebush Cobra Information

Hi all,

Been lurking for a while trying to learn as much as I can about these amazing vehicles.

I'm hoping someone can provide some information about homebush cobra's in general and in more particularly the silver with black stripes 289 powered car for sale at a dealer in Sydney at present with nsw rego number "cb-0289"?

There seems to be little information on the web about the homebush cars.

Any help greatly appreciated,

Slideorama

Brian is now retired, but I assume that the mobile number is still current.

One of the old guys who really knows fibreglass.

Cheers,

Ben

Welcome Slideorama,
If you're near Sydney come along to a meeting, there are a few members in the NSW club that own Homebush cars and Brian still attends some of the meetings. I don't know the car, but I'm pretty sure someone in the club would know its history.

how big is the gas tank, I think it would be fairly limited with the boot space,
don't mind the twin gas carbs should go alright.

my first cobra was straight lpg and i cut the floor out of the boot and put in a 60 litre usable tank and made a cover so from behind the cobra looked like it had a drop tank in polished stainless steel.

used to get around 400 ks to a tank depending on how hard you squeezed the pedal . it went surprisingly fast all considering
