Rob, you'll find that Honda Inca Gold Y61P5 is a very close match to the darker gold version of the Brembos. You could add some yellow pearl to lighten it up a bit if desired.

Here's some Brembo's in Inca I painted:

Ferrari yellow that a customer wanted for her Golf R:

Pornstar Pink (yes, that is the name of the colour!):

Traditional red with white lettering for a customer's EVO VIII:

Or here's a set I did in candy orange:

Black with silver logo:

Food for thought!

Do you use 2 pak to paint the calipers? How does it handle the heat?

Hi Ash,

Yes, we use PPG 2 pack. Depending on what the customer wants, we either use direct gloss (solid colours) or clear over base (solids, metallics and candies). We can do gloss, satin or matt clearcoat too.

The orange candy calipers were painted back in December 2009. They were fitted to my WRX STi that made a genuine 300kw at all four wheels on one of Melbourne's toughest dynos. That car was driven hard every day. I still keep in touch with the new owner and I can confidently tell you that they look as good today as compared to when they were painted. So for street driving and spirited/performance driving applications they work fine.

That said, extreme high heat usage such as track days can discolour the calipers. Even track-used Brembos do this. They affectionately have the name 'Brownbos'!

Two questions...
Which colour makes the car:
Go quicker?
Stop faster?
