New owner - been looking for a while!
Hi all,
Have posted a few times over the past 6 months and thanks to all who have assisted with some of my questions.
I just purchased my first Cobra, looked at a lot of cars over the past few months but finally managed to track down one that met my criteria.
Car is an RMC Anaconda, 351 Cleveland with a few upgrades, Toploader 4 speed, jag front and rear etc. with some nice suspension upgrades.
Rides, stops, handles and goes great!
Cheers,
Slide

Slide I think there is a minimum, could be ten or so.
In the meantime, congratulations on your purchase. RMC is a well-recognised and respected brand of earlier Australian Cobra and as such has a certain ( I was going to say cachet but that sounds a bit affected) has a certain charm and appeal to those of us who probably lean more towards the old school type of Cobras. Yours with all the classic bits -- Clevo Toploader Jag susp-- ticks all the boxes, and if it's running 15" Billboards I'd definitely be going weak at the knees!
Nice pick up and I'm really looking forward to hearing and seeing more of this very pleasing addition to our ranks.

Nice Slide. Welcome and congrats.
Just post hello here a few times and you should be good to go with pics. It's no more than 10 posts.

thanks all - here's a photo - will try and get some more over the weekend and post up!
Don - unfortunately it has 17's not 15's but it does have pin drives - 15" tyres are getting a bit hard to come by aren't they?

Beauty car and welcome! We here can certainly help you spend your money on some very good 15" wheels and tyres!

Very nice! Don't worry about changing a thing...just drive it for a while before you do anything.

Not if you go to Bob Jane Tmart at Southport!! 255/60X15 fronts located and fitted in two days. My twelve year old BFGs are now to be consigned to a "blaze of glory" ending as a dyno tyre on another car...
If your car goes as well as it looks you're on a winner. The 17" pindrives really suit it as does that lovely scarlet paint.
Just as an aside, that photo wasn't taken on the Monaro Highway near Calwell right before the Queanbeyan turnoff was it?

Welcome Slide
I'm in Canberra or close by anyway. Don't know if you are into the club orientated stuff but the contact is Mark Gore who is our co ordinator for the Canberra Cobra chapter and we also tie in with some of the Sydney runs as well. Give us a ring and will fill you in more if you like.
Cheers

Slide....welcome and congratulations! Lovely Cobra you have yourself.
15” tyres are very much available.
You have the Mickey Thompson S/T and the pricey but very sticky, old school look Avon CR6ZZ and are regarded as the best 15” tyre available...the latter of which I have fitted to my soon-to-be-completed Pace Cobra.
There's also the 15" Goodyear Billboards however as good as these look, unfortunately they are not cheap, are not road legal, don't last long and flatspot when sitting. But damn do they look the business!
That said, the Avons have a very similar look to the Goodyears and they too can be stenciled (or glued-on Treadwear logo lettered) with either the Avon or Goodyear Eagle branding. You get 90-95% of the Billboard look without any drawbacks. And the bonus is that a large number of people can't even tell the difference between the two when they're both stenciled with the Goodyear logo.

What is the best way to remove the protective blue stuff of the lettering?
I use sandpaper, but still a pain.
