Great progress there by AP, Brett.
I see you've scored the chassis number "98" as well. Very appropriate.

Cheers,
Glen

Looking good there Brett. You didn't bother with a coloured gel coat close to the colour your paining? I see another in the back there being prepared.

Dave
Getting painted Guardsman Blue with White stripe so no didn't worry about gelcoat tint.
The one in the back is the first one to be done then a mould taken off that for mine and however many more.

Ha Ha Spook, good one. Just need to find helmet and goggles to suit.

Cheers

This is looking just awesome BJ. Hate to admit it but I want one bad. Have to paint that chassis black though.... :)

BJ's Snake 05-06-2016 12:20 AM

Don't know.

Have thought about it Andrew, may black some out as we get into putting it together. Thought you like the Blue Circle look...

Hey Glen
I will give it a pat tomorrow while I am there checking out #98.

Brett, it has to be asked...
If you pat 2289 when you see it,
and you check out 98 when you visit,
what are you going to do when you see this chassis...?

BJ's Snake 05-11-2016 05:01 AM

Not going there Craig.... By the way, found some reproduction Riverside and Watkins Glen scrutineering stickers for the rollbar. Just to add to the effect.

Nice one! That's the type of detail that can make all the difference. I just tried to find a conversation I saw where a guy had acid washed or etched new stickers to take off the modern sheen, and also to allow the stickers to perish around the edges as though it really had been on the car for 50 years.

I guess your build is going to more accurately reflect the car at the start of its life rather than decades down the track, so there's no need to fit anything with evidence of wear and tear.
