Looks sensational!

How much belt do you have on the water pump pulley? I can't see in this photo too well. I ended up with a standard rotation water pump and a set of March pulleys to be sure I got the pump spinning. It looks like you might have some special (aka really sticky?) pulley on the pump.

Seems to work

There's not alot of contact but seems to work ok. I will eventually change to standard rotation for period look.
Out of interest, do you know the part numbers for the standard rotation water pump and timing cover to suit a 5.0l Windsor??

Cheers

Timing cover was the same (I am pretty sure I didn't change it EDIT: See below). I think I still have the box for the pump somewhere - I'll see if I can find it. Got it locally at Ford Motorsport. Plenty of options on Summit.

These are the pulleys I used: https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...1675/overview/

They are just visible in this image:

Checking my records, I did replace the timing cover (the original failed) and I cannot remember if there were two versions. I think there is just one for both pumps.

I did manage to find the pump box but it is a little worse for wear. Details below. Hopefully there is enough there to at least point you in the right direction.

Just checked the Ford Performance parts catalog and I reckon the pump I have is M-8501-F351 and the timing cover M-6059-D351

Funny thing is the guy that drives it wouldn't be 70kg wringing wet!

Hi Brett,

Been following the build of our FIA and it's really coming together. The PACE chassis and suspension will provide a great platform and with the FIA body and all the detail from #98 that you are incorporating into your build, will make for one cool Cobra. You are getting very close indeed, keep up the good work!
