Default Fuel Cleaner/Additive Recommendation?

Hi Everyone,

What fuel cleaner or additive do people use?

Main reason to ask is during the colder months when the car gets less use, it seems the fuel may sit there for weeks or months and not perform as well when first turned over.

For information purposes I've got a carburetor fuel injected Windsor that runs on unleaded 98.

All comments welcomed.

Thanks

Carburetored or Fuel injected ??? Don't think you can have both ol' mate.
Not having a go but your fuel won't go off that much because it's winter.
Keep the tank full to stop condensation would be my recommendation
and drive it when you can.

Cheers

I used to use StaBilt fuel stabilizer but Patrick's enthusiastic support for Lucus Ethanol Fuel stabilizer several years ago caused me to switch to it. They have several products - Non-ethanol Fuel Stabilizer and a Fuel Systems Cleaner too.

Chook
Nah, It's easy fixed.
Just send it up to Darwin during the colder (whatever that means) months of the year and I promise it won't get less use.

Chook,

Seaform for carb, fuel system.

Stabil if your dealing with fuel that won't be used so often.
