Other ideas:

Elfin heritage centre
Fox Classic car collection
RACV club at 501 Burke St in the city. You might need a Peter of introduction from a reciprocal club to get in. Always has a classic car in the foyer though which you will be able to see. Members dining room is top class.

That's only 10 minutes from where we are staying. I will wear my Shelby Cobra shirt, see if that helps. I can't believe it's only a week away. so looking forward to the cool weather.

There is a large tool shop on Clarendon st in south Melbourne as well.

I'm not sure what days the elfin heritage centre or the fox classic car collection are open

Roaring Forties are out at Thomastown

Harop and Herrod are also out that way as well I think.
Not sure where Mr Motec has the Daytonas coupes? He also has a MK IV GT40 project on the go as well.

Albins (gearboxes) are in Ballarat which you could get a train and taxi to I supose. Never been there.

Is there anything on at Calder park drag way that weekend? Or Sandown raceway

He's not going anywhere. Like all delusional blokes having a a mid-life crisis, he's bought a Cobra and now he imagines he's a fit twenty-something. He'll pull a hammie* and spend the rest of his holidays on crutches.

* I refer to the Australian colloquial term.

Peter, he will be fine. All the rub and tug places are south of the river (apparently;))

Oh man lets hope not. I was very apprehensive about the game as this is only the second time they have done it and I couldn't find any videos about last years game. The sales manager from Hawthorn emailed me a video and I'm extremely relieved. They are all about my age and look about my fitness level. Looks like a blast.

Now what more about this "rub and tug" operation? International laws, etc...

Mike

Did he mention 'defibrillator' at all?

I'm only concerned about your health, it has nothing to do with the risk I might miss out on a free beer.
