Is it possible to powder coat the entire body and chassis a clear coat to stop it oxidizing?

In my opinion the coolest part of our PACE Alumina's is the carbon semi-tubular body support superstructure. Looks cool as hell and has many, many advantages over the traditional steel structure used on nearly all alloy bodied kit cars. This design also results in a super strong body structure, as strong or stronger than typical composite bodies. Extremely safe door structures that are a combination of carbon and kevlar. Our design also means you can remove our alloy bodily as easily as you can remove our carbon composite bodies..very handy during the build. Our unique approach also means easier body repairs if the body ever suffers significant damage.

If you want to see the beauty of our carbon superstructure that lies beneath our alloy bodies, first chance will be at the Cobra Nationals in a few weeks time.

On the chassis for normal use in Australia, no need to coat the chassis for corrosion protection due to the high corrosion resistance of the materials and construction technique we employ. But I would recommend a chemical treatment rather than paint type coatings anyway if you really thought it was necessary. As per below for the body, for visible areas on the alloy chassis we prefer to just clean them up with specialist fine Scotch Brite and coat with WD-40.

For the body, if you are leaving it in a brushed type finish, then just coat with WD40. For polished, then you can wax if you like or just regularly polish.

The design and application of our carbon body support superstructure does not inherit any of the corrosion issues associated with traditional methods of steel tube structure for body mounting. Plus we have designed the body manufacture with this in mind, so owners can easily limit any risk of corrosion anyway. Easier to show people in the flesh how we have achieved this though, it would be an essay to describe all the aspects to it here.
