Default LSA in Pace 427 exhaust design

I am in the process of getting my exhaust system designed for my Pace 427 and I was wondering if anyone out there that has installed an LSA in their AP would be able to send me some under car pics of where exactly the best spot is for the exhaust to be fitted right from the headers to the tail pipes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Liverpool Exhaust have done a couple, street and track systems as far as I know...

Do I also need custom headers or will the standard cast LSA headers fit up ok?
The pics I require don't necessarily need to be of an LSA for the rear of the underfloor section as the engine isn't going to change the design over and around the swing arms....just needs to be a Pace 427.
Any pics would be great.

You need the Pace headers as the outlet faces forward. The OEM LSA headers face to the rear and will not fit in the Pace engine bay.

As an aside, we have a set of GM (HSV) cats that have been specially fabricated to fit the Pace 427 undercar system (will work with LSA, L76 and L98 motors) available to rent in order to pass the IM240 test. They feature a traditional 3 bolt style flange at the outlet side that will fit up to the pipes that pass through the chassis. We went with 2.5" piping for the rest of the system.

You can then get a set of high flow cats made to fit up if you so desire for everyday use.

Thanks for the info. Instead of renting the HSV cats, would you be interested in selling a pair?
Do you anyone that has a set of new Pace LSA headers for sale?

Hi Scott,

Happy to help.

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to sell the cats for two reasons. 1/. Dave who is 1/3 of the syndicate who owns the cats does not have his car running yet, so he needs these for his IM240 test which I am unsure when that will take place. 2/. The development/fabrication of the cats to fit the Pace cost us $3850 in addition to the physical cost of the near-new HSV cats.

You can fit normal 200cell highflow cats into the Pace without any modification, however they won't pass an IM240 with the LSA. The 400cell HSV cats are massive and need to be resized to fit, but they will pass.

PS> I believe you will be very hard pressed to find a set of Pace headers. If you need them now and Pace don't have any, you'd need to have some custom fabricated.

Have heard of reversing the headers side to side so they face forward.. as per my earlier advice, if you are in Sydney then Liverpool exhaust are familiar with the set ups required having done a few cars for Neil in the past, including the fabricated headers.
