Default Best Brake pads - Jag rear

Hi Guy's,

Looking to change the rear brake pads on my Cobra. I'm running Jag front and rear with XF Falcon master cylinder without a proportioning valve.

Wanting a rear pad that has maximum bite to improve the front / rear balance. Race Brakes in Yarraville used to have such a pad but have closed down.

Looking for recommendations.

I have used a combination of red stuff and yellow stuff with good results

LB

edit: after looking at an old pic I think it might actually have been Green/Red (?)

anyway - different front rear compounds/heat ratings and seemed to work fine....

obviously the colours I've used on my suspension/brakes hasn't helped for recalling the brake pad colours....
Rob. Smith and rnayler1 like this.

You could try Marty Becton at motorsport brakes. Home of Motorsport Brakes Australia. They supply competion brakes for track day cars, rally cars and club race cars. Marty has many years experience in the motorsport brake industry.

I also have EBC on my Jag rear. I have the Green Stuff. I have never had a problem with them fading and they work great.

I have put EBC Green Stuff pads on my daily drivers also. Make a huge difference in the stopping distance.
