Talking NSW Compliance Engineers

Hi all, I am seeking some advice on getting my Cobra compliant in NSW. This car was first registered in WA in 1998 then in Vic then transported over to NZ where it has been registered for the past 10 years. Now I want to bring it back to NSW where I understand that the compliance requirements are stricter than anywhere else. Can anyone recommend a good compliance engineer that can help me? I also need a couple of mechanical or electrical items sorted. The car has started missing badly, just before I shipped it back! Would appreciate any advice you may have. Thanks.

John, try Neil Streeting at streetntrack. He's not an engineer but he might be able to advise on a way forward for you.

John - You will notice there is not a lot of activity on the forum at the moment. Due to the very slow load times many have given up on visiting, hence your lack of replies. You can find all NSW licensed certifiers on this list:

http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/...certifiers.pdf

I can recommend Treeve Andrew given he is the most knowledgeable in this area that I have come across.

John - if the car has been owned by you in NZ for 10 years, you may be able to get it registered as a personal import.

The disclaimer is that I don't necessarily know what I'm talking about.

Cheers
Glen

Contact Treeve on the list linked above. He knows all about it.
If you register on ozclubbies.com.au there is the same question on there for a clubman from nz.
