Hi Jason

Did not get a chance today to update you and members on progress with the Mt. Gambier run.

All seems ok with accommodation at the location of the Commodore Motel.

I will book rooms and hold.

Will get a few ideas on a Saturday run to you for members consideration.

More info. for you prior to the next meeting.

Perhaps a run to Nelson and a river cruise.

Will give you a few options for Saturday. A cruise or a run to Penola and wineries of Coonawarra region. Both 30 minute runs each way.

I really enjoyed WAB 1.Great people, Great booze, Great drive to @fro,245 klm,s I seem to remember. for u cobra jock,s this trip is not to be missed. I have one concern and that is can we locate all the rooms to rear of the motel to keep prying eyes and itchy fingers from separating us from our reason for living.

Hi all,

Booked all of the back rooms.

Now each member will need to ring the Commodore Motel Jubilee Highway Mt. Gambier direct and book their room stating they are from the Cobra Car Club. They will do a special costing for us.

Back lounge etc. has been booked again for big screen etc.

As far as a run is concerned there are a number of options as you experienced at "Weekend at Bernie's .1"

Jason,

Could you put something on an email for Vic and SA members.

The rooms will need to be booked as I want everyone at the Commodore if possible. Easier to stagger across to the rooms

As I have booked the back rooms, we need to book in early to ensure our booking.....

I will come up with some options for a run for you soon. Should do that Pizza/spag restaurant again - no I do not have shares

Breakfast at McDonald's however is mandatory...

What about a drive from Mt Gambier to Robe , then across to Penola and back to home base.
There would be a few Ks involved , but then that is what the cobra is all about.
Lunch at Robe sounds good

Not a bad start.

We could do that easily. A few things to see at both Robe and Penola.

Need to encourage people to book in before Xmas. This place
Mt. Gambier is popular. Lake is still very blue etc.

Hi all

Just had a call from the Commodore Motel on the Jubilee Highway.

I have booked a number of the back rooms. However this is the weekend after the Rotary Convention and they are already getting some long term bookings for the Rotary Convention with people staying the extra few days.

It is suggested that you all ring and book your rooms as soon as possible. Book them now in the 'Cobra Club' reserved rooms.

Same deal as the Cobra Nationals - BOOK NOW!!

Yeah Come on Bernie, what all this staying at the Commodore again you got to have a Ranch there for all of us, and the cars, with you in Tina's ear a few times on what she should expect, from me im sure we are not asking alot from you.

We know you can put on a good spread to, lucky we have the wheels to access the drive through.

I've mentioned this trip to tina and she would love to go. She's looking forward in you shouting her drinks, taking her out for dinner, a walk by the blue lake...

Hey guys may be all the Girls going can join in and have a Free night out with Bernie...

Lets us all get some Cobra Video and Drinking time in while Bernie entertains the Gals

Sorry no room at the lodge. Only eleven bedrooms and room for nine other cars in my garage. All taken..

Sorry ladies first.

My son will assist with looking after the ladies - now your in danger zone.

Will chase motel tomorrow to confirm room numbers available and will put a list up with the lady to ring etc.

I will list double rooms, back rooms, master suites etc.

Sounds like you sorted out the confusion there. I had booked rooms but the receptionist put them under McDonald's or similiar she phonned me today.

All back rooms are being held in Cobra car Club.

So ring and book in the Cobra Car Club name.

I booked for Fri Sat and Sun.
But I'm thinking about leaving on Friday night and stopping half way. Then taking off early in time for Breakfast at the Mount Saturday morning.

If you break your trip up. Try the Royal Mail at Dunkeld just prior to Hamilton.

You then have a trip into Mt. Gambier that will take about 1 3/4 hours.
