Bernie really does have a Cobra!!!
:3DSMILE:
Hey Bryan can you use your computer expertise to move those photos on the Australian Classic Car magazine Thread over to here. I have been getting a few digs about this Cobra I have been talking about. Especially from those guys in the States who 'email' me asking me to Post pictures. %/ It does exist. Would be finished if I didn't get on here all the time talking cars. But love it. :3DSMILE: Will still paint it 'Guardsman Blue' after seeing Rick Lake's Cobra at the "Run N Gun". I liked the blue on the stripes. %/ Cheers all.. :3DSMILE: Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Bryan that means I need to talk with you. Then I will Post - photos when it is painted Hey Jason to busy to talk. Does that mean Mrs. REPTYL is lurking ready to strike?? The boss is watching or giving you plenty of work. Again thanks guys. Cheers Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Hi Bern'
Dayshift usually gets busy from 09:30 till 13:30, I'll check the forum from time to time during those hours but usually don't have time to post anything.:( |
Jason
:3DSMILE: Mentioned that I had some good feedback on the event Sunday. %/ I also checked out Brian from Superformance and he appeared very busy talking about their product and passing out brochures. There certainly is a lot of interest in the Cobra marque if the day was any indication. A great day. Well done all Have a good day at work. Cheers Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Hi Rick
:3DSMILE: I see your looking around here. Hope all is well. What have you been up too?. Did Bob Self get the car back on the road? Has he got any idea what times it may run at the next 'Run N Gun' in the drags over the quiarter? Cheers Bernie **) Bernie Knight Mt. Blue on White is NICE
Bernie Knight I don't know is you have turkey day down under but if you do, Have a great day with family and friends. Got the pictures back from R&G Debra think you came 5000 miles to sit in Cobras. She said you must be REALLY SICK. I told her that you are going to start your own company and was just testing the market. :D Women will never understand about boys and toys. Bob S took the heads to the porter and is maken good on them. When they where casted the short radias was not thick all the way across the bent. His car will run low 11's in the quarter. If you run short on TURKEYS we can maybe send you George A. ( redlight) for a player to be named later. We will send him with a case a georgia instead of money.  Got to go, have a safe holiday. I will send you the pictures when I get copys. I donot have a scanner. Rick Lake

Hey Rick
:3DSMILE: Thanks for the offer of turkeys for Thanksgiving. %/ George with Georgia moonshine and a blow up turkey or pumpkin is sure scary - halloween!! Good to hear Bob found the problem and will have the heads back on and running soon. Will keep an eye out for you on the forum here. I am usually commenting on something or adding my share of Posts here on the Australian site. We often have some good pictures and events to look at.. Cheers Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Gambier South Australia Home of "Weekend at Bernie's #2" - March 13th and 14th March |
Have been busy..
:3DSMILE: Made up the balance of the aluminium panels for the interior and the boot (trunk). Was asked the other night when I paint it? .. and its looks like April after the Mt. Gambier weekend. %/ Considering using the English old style grain vinyl instead of the Merc. clothe for the top. Think the vinyl looks more 60's. Any thoughts. I am considering copying the MGB style with three rear windows with zip in side curtains similiar to the MG TD style. The amount of bugs I get on the front of the car on the highway worries me as the front of the clothe would look sh!t in no time. Plus the fall out fgrom the pine trees. Exhaust now finished and off it comes .. to the coaters next week. Hope than answers the one or two emails. Cheers all Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Bernie.....Please don't let RICK send me there until we get your new motor finished.....OH!!!! by the way here it is on the engine stand today.....although it runs a little rich on the Georgia Moon 125 Proof Hi-Octane+++
I think we can still get it there by Christams as promised... George (Red Light) http://www.gessford.com/work/images/MAC165.MPG |
YOUR MOTOR????
Catch you latterBernie Knight I think you need to make sure that you donot void the warranty on the motor, YOU need to have them install it and make sure it runs OK. I'm sure you have room in the garage for George so he can put the motor in and make sure it's running in top form. Running rich is good, running mean is better. George will need a weather station to fine tune the motor. Special fuel brings out the best in his motors, any octane over 120 will be fine:D George is tall and thin, he can wrap him around the motor for the ride down under. Do you think you can sneak him by customs? You can't keep him but we will rent him for a month:LOL: I'm sure the motor will run great. After you outrun everyone George will have more problems with the supply and demand. Poor George. Got to go shopping, another snow storm is coming tomorrow. I will wait for Georges reply, You need to ask about how his racing lessions are coming along?? I hear that Dawn is trying to teach hot shoe how to cut the tree down without the chainsaw;) Catch you later Rick Lake ps If you show the car to 750HP you can tell him you don't need those hairdryers to keep up with him:D
|
Ok RICK.....Bernie hasn't even seen the post yet and you're shipping me off as packing paper....hmmmm!
This is what the motor sounds like on regular 87 Octane with Ethanol... George http://www.gessford.com/work/images/MAC164.MPG |
Hey Guys
I'm excited.. :3DSMILE: Perhaps it may have been better to have kept this off the Post. That way the guys here would not have known about the new engine. %/ George ship yourself off 1st class and we will look after you here. :3DSMILE: Sun is shinning and 85f. Great Cobra cruising weather. Plenty of spare beds here. Hell do it in style. :3DSMILE: Cheers Bernie Knight Mt. Gambier South Australia |
Don't forget to WAVE.
BernieKnight Don't forget to wave as you drive by. Smile will help too. You are only going to pull this trick off 1 time. Everybody will be back in the garage. The secert password is George Georgia Moon, say that 3 times fast. The video is rough, I hope that was dew to poor lighting and not smoke and mirrors:) Catch you later Rick Lake ps you forgot to ask George about the lessions from Dawn:rolleyes:
|
Hey Rick
Good to see you on the forum today. :3DSMILE: George is not saying to much about the engine. Specs have been sent to me under cover of Email. Don't want to many to know what we are up toooo. Don't think I will get a chance to smile as I will be just hanging on. **) Cheers Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. Gambier South Australia. |
Rick Lake.....Whats up with you fellas?...when Bernie left our fair shores he was sweet and innocent. He had led a very sheltered childhood...well..so he says. :D
You send him back all bent and twisted....what the hell did ya do to him?? %/ We want the olde shy introverted Bernie back ..  |
Oh heck
%/ Shucks :3DSMILE: I'm really just the same. But I have seen the moon. Praise the Georgie moonshine. Taken from the jam jar as directed by my physician Dr. Anderson. Taken twice a day until the moon was found up side down.. Warning'' # Do not place near naked flame. # Do not light cigars nearby. # Sip don't drink (like Bernie!!) Oh gee I miss it. Now booked into rehab. with Liz Taylor and Robert Downey Jnr. **) Must go calling me for evening medication. Room 7 Betty Ford Clinic Cheers Bernie Bernie Knight Mt. BERNIE WENT TO THE DARK SIDE
REBEL1 Sorry. Bernie went to the dark side and found out that being bad was better than being good. The rest you can blame on George A. George has a way of working his black magic on motors and men. There is no cure. Chain him up at night and pray for the best. SORRY AGAIN Les. Stay in touch and HOPE.  ;)   Rick Lake ps maybe it was the steering wheel being on the left side of the car???:D
