Ford shows new Cobra Concept @ Detriot
First the new Mustang, then the new GT (both of which i really like and are great evolutions of the original cars) but now Ford has revealed its new modern Cobra.
It stinks!
They have taken almost every curve off the original and replaced it with flat slabs of steel.
The good news is the engine. 6.4 ltrs all alloy V10 quad cam, basically a 5.4 quad cam with two more cylinders - good for 605 HP!
0-60mph in under 4 secs.

I have that problem with my F100 all the time. It's been lifted and has 33" tyres on it. Combine that with a free flowing twin system that exits just in front of the drivers side rear wheel and you got a lot of "Can you repeat that order please sir?"
Cheers

8/10 for the new cobra.
It would make a good donor vehicle for a replica Cobra.
I took my Cobra through the drive through at Maccas' in Cranburne 2 months before I got it registered.
No seats, no windscreen and no exhast!
I think everyone eating in thought a Nascar had just arived.

Jason,
It must be VERY tempting to drive your Cobra unregoed etc! My car is still a long way off being finished but I could amagine myself driving it b4 it is regoed. Every time I work on her (the cobra that is ) I always reflect on what she'll be like when finished. Afterall you've gotta keep one eye on the finish line. I'll finish the door frames this weekend, then skin the doors. Went that's done I'll have to take more broom, broom pics in it!
Cheers
