Arrow Victorian Club base at this motel

KING JASON II

Jason,

Goulbourn Central Motel and Lodge is the motel that most of the Victorians stayed at last year.

It's the cream brick motel on the corner of Verner and Auburn has the Thai Restaurant upstairs at the front..

02 48 211655 Paul manager.

You may still find rooms held under Jason Millington's name.

Most rooms held for the Fri. Sat and Sun night.

About $88 per room p/night, so reasonable price.

( Free if you leave them under Jason's name )

Hope this is the motel you are looking for.

Thumbs up

Mike

Will it be totally finished - is this the aim. You seem to be making progress.

Will you drive it registered or trailer it and register it later?

All members...

Who is going to the Nationals prior to Friday? Race track day on Friday is open running.

Question Who's for heading up in a group?

Have we made any arrangements to head up in a group like last year? Sorry missed a meeting or two.

Who's thinking of heading up Thursday to participate in/or watch the Friday "Free for all" on the race track?

Who's thinking of heading up Friday.

I'm peersonally aiming to go up Thursday, but this will depend on the damage to my engine etc. and parts/repair time.

( McDonald's Restaurant Hume Highway, Campbellfield again at say 0830 on either Thursday/Friday morning? )

Any thoughts/plans.

Default I'm going....

G'Day all.

I'm booked for the fri sat and sunday and was planning to head off early friday morn, it would be nice to be there around lunch time.

I'm going up in my Landcruiser so there plenty room if anyone needs a lift?.It'll be a great opportunity to run in a new engine also

Also might be handy to have a tow vehicle onsite just in case any of you Ford boys come to grief

See u there!

Cheers Robo!

I plan to leave the sunny north on Wednesday... through to Newcastle for an "overnight beer reviver" for the driver, and then on Thursday to Goulbourn....

Bernie, I'll meet you at the Macca's on the Pacific Highway just across from Movie World

I'm planning on driving up lunch time or early arvo Thursday. Have confirmed the room & booked extra for the Thursday night.
I intend to get as much track time as I can on Friday.
Also thinking about coming back Sunday arvo depending on weather & number of cars on the track.
Last year it started to rin & all the wuss's pissed off back to the motel but 1/2 hr later it was clearing & about 10 of us got heaps more track time. No timing but good fun.
Cheers

Nothing to work out Robo, if no one wants it it is in the bin.

So I will bring it in my luggage and either give it to you (or anyone else after Robo) or its in the bin.

Hi OLSCHL,

You would be most welcome at the next Vic club meeting. And it would be nice to put another face to a Club Cobra name.

The meetins are on the first Thursday of the month at the Mercat Cross Hotel from about 7PM. Bring your apetite as the counter meals are good.

It's a pretty casual affair, just a bunch of Cobra guys sitting round and talking about Cobras. Good food, good drink and good conversation makes for an all round good evening.

El Presedente: Jason or the Chancellor of the Excequer: Tony Cram will probably get on here and tell you the membership details.

The nationals is in the First Weekend in October and runs Saturday, Sunday, Monday with practice on the Friday before If you want.

Last year a bunch of us drove up in Convoy on Friday morning and it was a good trip. I expect something similar will happen this year.

Most people from Victoria drove their Cobras up and a few trailered. If I get my car their this year it'll probably be on a trailer as it won't be registered.

Hope to see you on Thursday 5th August.

Cheers

Question What's the name of the hotel

Thanks Mike - details supplied for meeting.

I was looking for my copy of 'Snaketales' to get the name and the address of the club meeting place.

Could not give landmark directions (to find Doug's factory) again - no actual street names and numbers.

Yes, would be good to do the convoy thing again to the nationals.

Cheers

I should clarify, the Mercat Cross Hotel is on Queen street in the city, right next to Victoria Market.

Speaking of land marks, that's just around the corner from the MacDonalds on the corner of Elizabeth and Franklin street for you Bernie

Cheers

I will probably trailer mine down to Goulburn. I am booked at the Post House. Is there a place to leave the trailer or can it be left at the track?

Sorry, my wife just informed me that we are booked at the Goulburn Central Motor Lodge. So is there anywhere to leave a trailer there.
