Travel Tips?
Hey mates!
I have a couple of guys from the Sydney area coming to visit for a week or so. I live in the midwest near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. ( famous for our breweries)
I want to be a gracious host!
Do you have any tips for me as a host so as to NOT pi$$ them off?
Do you mates have any strange customs I should be aware of?
Likes / dislikes?
I'm planning on taking them to the "Cobra Feature Night" at the local cruise venue. also to Slinger Super speedway the worlds fastest 1/4 mile oval track.
I hope these guys are gearheads and not as Arnold would say: "Girlie men".
any suggestions would be appreciated.

Stock the fridge with plenty of beer and get your local bakery to start practicing how to make hot meat pies. Make sure theres plenty of sport happening on the TV and ignore the mess until they have left. Thats about it!

We have "Hot meat pies" but you won't find them at a bakery!
I'll be sure to have a few on hand!
Oh... and plenty of beer!

If you mean Sydney Australia, don't let any of them behind the wheel, especially not your Cobra. Like the Brits, they drive on the opposite side of the street than we do. Steering wheel on right, gearshift on left. Send them back home unscathed to their "Normal" world.

Beer, Pizza, women and ...
ohekk
Yes, I saw some of the ugly ones you sent to Illinois. At the 'Run N Gun' there was just this ugly, ugly girl - possibly from Waukesha. She was washing dishes in a local bar near Evansville, we stopped on the way to St. Louis.
I'm on my way...
Just keep exporting those ugly ones.
Driving on the wrong side is easy. I followed Lance from SPF in Costa Mesa Cal. for about 30m.
He took me on and off freeways, down the transit lanes ( more than one passenger), down One Way streets and then through the gates to a Gate community.
Hell, he forgot I was following him. to check out their Daytona Coupe. he got on the phone and got distracted and headed home instead...
I soon found where the electric window switch was, learnt to abuse other motorists, gave the 'bird' and generaly threw my rubbish out - just like home It was easy to adapt to Left Hand Driving...
Beer, Pizza, women and..... you cannot go wrong.
Cheers
Bernie

Not being very tall I found driving lefthand drive cars really difficult at first, the pedals and steering wheel seem so far away but I found that the secret was to get in through the lefthand door and use that seat instead.
