I had never seen or heard of the film called Rendevous before and I msut say that it is a nice older footage of a car raceing through the streets.
Does anyone know what type of car it is? |
Bernie...I was also surprised to hear the Stillwell name mentioned. I knew of bib (bob?) stillwell and his reputation in aussie land but didn't realise he featured so high up the international ladder of street racing.
Box....I found that footage blu$$y scary when I first looked at it.....obviously, it is very real and taken on very public streets. but I now suspect that it has been sped up a little.....some of those corners are just too neat given the apparent speed. Every time I replayed it..I found myself seeing other potential fatalities...hell...there is a heap of em coming from all angles. Blu$$y good footage.. enjoyed every minute of it. |
Rendezvous
Les,
If you watch the pedestrians and the other traffic it has not been sped up. I have herd that the car was a Ferrari and the driver was an ex F1 driver and spent some time in jail for his driving effort. He was caught because they recognised his girlfriend. I counted 13 red lights that he went through and was amazed there was no accidents. Great action though. All the videos are of good quality many thanks Bruce Wayne. Opps now I've given out your real name:eek: Cheers, Bryan |
I'm glad there is happiness and warm gooey feelings at Camp-Cob
I'm only here to help And I can still help others whom I haven't helped yet (or caught up with at the Nationals) |
Batman
If the offer still stands I would to take a copy off your hands. Send me a PM with your acc details and I will deposit the funds. Brett |
G'day Les,
I don't think Rendevous was sped up, rather the sound track is not the same as the footage. The Ferrari spends time in top gear at top speed yet the cars that are overtaken are passed too slowly. In movies, sound is everything and is usually always touched up. Still was great though Cheers |

To hell with the car whats the girls name. If he was in such a hurry to get to her, maybe I should meet her. Coming to think of it she's probably in the Nursing Home now ... Batman thank you for the DVD and pass on my thanks to the pirate.. Bernie |
