Default NSW Convoy

Anyone know if there is a NSW convoy to the Nationals. For my part I plan to head out about 6.00 am Friday 1st Oct. Hope to arrive in time for early practice session.

How do you know if your entry has been accepted? Money is gone from account but no confirmation, is that how its done?

I am a first timer so stay clear of Black Cobra with L plates.

17 sleeps to the Nationals

Phil

Phil,

in the last snake tales there was a list of paid up entrants... you were not on it

However, if the funds are gone, I would assume you're in...

email Kevin at the NSW club if you want to confirm.

By the way, I had a look in the Gallery, and that black Cobra looks far from a beginners ride very nice..

Tony

How many Vics. are going.

Can you list who is going from Victoria. I'm heading up but not entered.

Has anyone else indicated they are driving up that you know of as a spectator?

Bernie

Bernie,

Officially about 21 VIC entrants on the list, however there seems to some people missing. My count is 26 but I will be confirming this in a day or so with Kevin in NSW. the NSW boys have quite a team heading to Goulburn by the looks of it.

It looks like about 10 or so VIC spectators. We are putting a list together and will send it out soon with meeting times/places and mobile numbers. Let me know when you are going up and I will put you on the list.

Sorry Phil ..... I feel like I'm hijacking your post although I believe this is normal for Bernie.

Regards

TC

Hey "Posts and Threads" are there to hi - jack.

Sorry, I later picked up the "Thread" that was relevant to us leaving from McDonald's.

Not sure if I'll leave on the Thursday or Friday, but will let you know once work is sorted.

Cheers

Thanks Tony for the confirmation I am on the list. If there are too many NSW guys entered I can be an honoury Vic for weekend. Iam staying at the Central Motor Lodge with the Vics and Mike Murphy has been my mentor through this whole project so Iam almost there.

Dyno tune today plus few more bits and I should be ready , well at least the car will be. I havent raced in a long time and never in anything with as much get up and go as a Cobra. Plan to take it fairly easy this year as there is too much bump steer in a CR for my liking, but straight line should be fun.

Bernie , I have no hassels with hijacked threads, often leads to good ideas.

See you on the Oct long weekend.

Phil

Hello again everyone, I just realised that I have not paid any money to watch the fun.
Is there a charge to watch? Do I pay that on the day?
or do I need to send the money before I get there?

I dont think there is charge to watch, well I didnt pay last year to enter circuit.

If you want to join in on meals etc I think there will be a charge.

Have fun driving up with Mike.

Hi Brett,

Good to see one other NSW Cobra guy looks at this site.

You still on target for Wakefield? Still by trailer?

Any chance you could take bonnet down for Mike Murphy?

The bonnets at CR but I will get it to you.

Have you had dyno/tune done yet on the Lexus? How'd it go.

I'm not sure if I will have the Cobra at Wakefield but I will be there with or without it. I'm going down early Friday morning driving the wagon and I'll take the bonnet down for you.

I have been playing around with blower pulley sizes and having some major detonation problems. I have a larger set of injectors and an intercooler coming in from the States and I not sure if they will be here on time.

Also I am waiting on a new Simmons outer rim but we won't go into that.

I will not be entering the competition. Usually a few of us just go out and have a look. You will no doubt catch up with us 'lookers' and have a meal or two and a beer or six..

Catch tyou at the track and will organise something.

Cheers

Re your visit to Snakebite..

Can you ask Don if he is going to be at the Wakefield Park weekend?

Bernie,

I spoke to Don last week and he said that he would be at Wakefield on the long weekend.
