Default Original Cobra's For Sale

I see that there is an original 1966 427 up for sale (blue) at the next Bonham's Auction.

Is it David Ratcliff's Cobra?

Pretty sure it is as it has the paint damage on the rear wings caused by a suspension problem.

$450,000 to $500,000 - an investment for the future (if you have the cash lying around)

I thought it might be someone trying to move on John Blandens car for a quick gain..?

Is John Blanden's estate going to sell off his cars? I wonder what the C-Type would be worth now? More than the Cobra, I'd guess, and it'd probably go overseas.

Cameron,

Its somewhat confusing in that Unique Car advertised the 427, but with a picture of the Green 289 recently sold

Its not until you see Bonham's advert in Australian Classic Car where they show the blue 427, which appeared in a Classic Car Review in 2003 along with Ian Denner's replica.

The reason I recognised the 427 was that its still got its original paintwork including damaged rear quarters.

I undertsand the 427 is original except for some reupholstering and an engine rebuild involving detuning for street use.

Very tempting, but would never leave the garage

The website lists the vehicle as CSX 3150. From memory, there was a write-up about this car in Aust Classic Car about 4 years ago.

Extremely tempting, but I would never get out of the Bank

Thanks for the clarification.

Scary part is, if I owned an original, I would drive it everyday, just like the one I have now..... Mad but true
