Default New member saying g'day.

Hi all,
just a quick post to say hello,
Some of you Qlders I know already from club breakfasts and events,
I did also meet plenty of southerners as well at the nats
So hello to you all.
And being part of the Infamous 2004 nationals assault,
I thought I had better join and defend myself!
Hopefully I can add some positive and informative input on this forum.
Regards Peter Hancock

Peter, before this thread gets any further, having read several post for your boys "down under", Cobras have Ford engines in them, not Chebys. LOL

Welcome!!!!

Trularin,

That is one heck of a Cobra you have there.

With its mirror finish and huge donk - you must be proud of it.

What HP does it kick out?

Talking about the paint finish what do you use for such a shine?

Peter.....That was me at Tyretech, and also chatted at a Brekky.

That cob of yours turned out real nice. When you mentioned that you were painting it the ford gold colour, I really didn't think it would look as good as it does....absolutely bootiful.

Good to see ya live on the Northside too.

Al....sorry mate....I forgot you reside in Victoria, I'll keep my statements simple in future.

Cheers

Les,

Not like you to chat at a brekky

And what's this about living on the northside?

Hot and sticky - even at Bracken Ridge.

Come down this way and enjoy the breezes

Pete...The PCC one

Oi .. told ya before...gonna tell ya again.....I don't go that far for holidays .

Some time ago I was gonna organise a day for all you Southsiders at a place called the Fish Bowl at Redcliffe.

Sadly, the place has sold and is under new management and I've not been there since it changed. Must check it out to see if the atmosphere is as good as the ole Fishbowl.

Sitting on the cliff at Redcliffe...overlooking the water, sipping some nut brown laughing water, can't think of a better way to convince you southsiders to move UP here.

Les,
thanks for the compliment on the car colour,
making your car different to everybody elses is always risky,
but I didnt want to build a clone
(not that theres anything wrong with that!)
Yes I am a Northside boy,
born and bred in Redcliffe and now reside in sunny dakabin,
just near the alma park zoo(no not in it !!)
Its a pity Lakeside raceway is closed,
I am a stones throw away from it.
Could have got some practice in..

Pete,

Are you showing up at the Wheels of the Century Car Show - sounds very posh or

Are you drawn by the President's run to Warren's mum's place

We ARE spoilt for choice.

Maybe a few Cobra's at the car show will ensure we walk away with the club trophy

HI Peter,
not sure if I have met you personally yet but your car looks familiar.(and very nice!)
I cant actually make any of the events on the 7th,
as I am on call that weekend.
I think my wife was going to take the car to the breakfast as I think they are doing a post nationals thing etc.
I forgot about the presidents run as well,
there is just too much to do this time of year.
Dont forget gokarting and saturday arvo sprints this weekend as well...

Peter,
Glad to see you've found the site. I bet you took a few photos last weekend at Indy. Just a quick point about photos on the site - you can have unlimited photos stored here, and you can link to them when you post a message. By doing that, you're not restricted to the 40K file size. This means better photo size and quality. I only tell you this because I would like to be able to see more detail of your left rear wheel in that photo you attached on the INDY post........ Hmmmm....

How it going Craig,
I have been having been lurking here from time to time in the past,
with so much cobra activity going on I thought its my duty to share my point of view.
Indy was awsome,
took a heap of photos,
will try to get an upload happening in the near future.
Theres a disc floating around of the nationals photos as well as what was taken at the indy.(a joint effort between craig white, myself and my wife)
No she didnt take the ones in the indy pits!
Imagine yours and scotts side by side down the main straight at indy ,full noise with the front clips off,Id pay to see that!

peter
