Post West Coast of USA

Hello all,

Anyone got any good Cobra places to visit or Cobra parts suppliers to check out on the West Coast of the States.

We will be there in early January for three days,up to Canada & then back to LA for a few more days.

Any info would be greatly appreciated because I will not have a lot of time and if I can get some inside information I might be able to squeeze in a coupla extra sites.

Look forward to your responses.

Regards

Nick

Nick,

A couple of possibilities depending on your schedule. Cobra Country and the Bay Area Cobra Club. As I don't know your time frame, I won't suggest a lot of places as there are several, some large and others smaller. Sacramento has a Cobra Club and there are some great ones in Fresno and Vacaville. You won'thave any problem finding places to visit, just which ones that you can work in. Good luck and I hope that you enjoy the visit.

If your in the LA area then the Peterson Museum would be a good start.

Yes I agree with xlr8or the Peterson Museum is worth a visit. They have different marques featured each month on top of their normal displays.

Check out their web site.

There is a sub way station opposite that runs from LA central. About a 10 minute ride from memory. Buses also run up to it.

Also Hillbank Motors in Costa Mesa who are the SPF dealers are receptive to visits. They had about 14 Cobras there compleeted and two or three being prepared. Lance and Dennis there may even have the GT40 and Daytonas there.

If you do Hillbank you will find then tucked away down in the bottom left corner of the factory complex/court.

If you have time, you might want to run over to Las Vegas and see Shelby's factory. Take the tour, but remember to bring a towel to wipe the drool.

Lightbulb Now if you can stay on..

Yes I agree I have heard some great things about the tour of Shelby America.

Will try and do it next year myself. I could not do it last October as the fires stopped us getting in. LA was under a thick blanket of smog and smoke - what's different...

Demicobra,

Now, I know you said January but the S.A.A.C have a weekend in LV in February. A three day event from the 18th. Look up SAAC on the web for details.

The events that attract all the genuine CSX cars etc. and possibly CHS himself.
