Thumbs up Were alive

Ok you guys that might of been keeping track of our little honeymoon trip, and with us ending up in Phuket.

Well 10hrs earlier and after being in Roma at 10 deg for 4 days with Switzerland prior at 0 deg we would have been on the beach warming up at Phuket.
Jumping on the plane at Rome we were advised that it had just happened and not much left of Phuket, expecially our hotel on the beach.
So we stopped out luggage from going on from Bangkok to Puket and on landing decide after lots of texting to Tinas brother in Melbourne if it would be safe or hygenic to go on.
I was keen to top up my supply of DVD's and Tinas got a bigger fettich than me over Cobras on handbags so we sprung a room at the Hilton in Huan-hin, other side of Thailand to where the surf picked up.
Details here are sketchy, but after watching the CNN we are so lucky we wanted to have Xmas dinner in Rome rather than Phuket.

So after over 24hours in the same clothes and watching the disaster, there is still a owner of COBTHS.

Bye from Tina and Garrett.

Garrett, Pleased you and Tina are ok.

Would you believe that as soon as the news hit the media I immediately thought of you and wondered if you were safe.

Damn, that means we gotta put up with ya for a lot longer.

Stay safe mate and take care. Much danger arises after a civilization has been ruined and infrastructure falls to pieces.

Cool

Thats great news Garrett & Tina but a real shame to have to end such a wonderful honeymoon that way. Weather may have improved by the time you get back and you can enjoy our own beaches. Hope you have a good Xmas all the same.
Cheers Leeroy.

Great news ! The reports just keep getting worse, and I'd have to echo Les' thoughts about the short to medium term nightmare that will present itself over there. I'll be glad to hear when you both arrive safely in Oz.

Just heard that the number missing as a result of this disater is over 60,000.

Hell, you guys really are lucky that dinner in Rome took a priority.

Stay safe.

Have a good New year everyone

Bernie

My woman friend is also OK. Traveling in various parts of Indonesia she missed being in the wrong place at the wrong time by one day! She is now home in Hawaii.
