Fire Bomb

What the F@#K is this world coming to!!!

I was awoken at 5AM this morning by two loud explosions. I grabbed my dressing gown, boots and trusty 6D maglite and go out the front door to investigate.

I find our neighbours car parked on the street in front of our house ablaze. I also hear another car start up and drive off with no lights on but I didn't see anyone.

Looks like a couple of molitov cocktails thrown inside has got things burning nicely. I run back in and tell Lily to call the fire brigade and then run out the back to grab the garden hose and hook it on the tap in the front yard. Other people in the street are coming out now to see what's going on. The flames are a good 12 foot high at this stage and the neighbours fence and trees are in danger. I stood back as far as the hose would spray and tried to damp the flames down. The garden hose didn't do much but the flames probably dropped to 8 foot and nothing else caught alight. I was worried about the fuel tank going up so I stayed at the front and sprayed through the windscreen.

The car belonged to my neighbours daughter and she is hysterical at this stage.

None of my neighbours could find a hose long enough to reach so we had to wait for the brigade to turn up. They tuned up 15 minutes later and had it all out in another 15 minutes. I've never seen a serious car fire like this before, it was pretty intense.

The Police turned up another 20 minutes later to investigate. Turns out there have been about 15 cars stolen and burned in our area in the last few months.

This is supposed to be a quiet neighbour hood??!! What the hell do I do now?

If they catch these scumb bags I'd gladly toss the molitov cocktail in their car while they are tied up in the boot.

Not happy.

WAS THE CAR A HYUNDAI

If so what is the problem:CRY:

Seriously, some people have no respect, if they dont/cannot
own something they destroy it.......

Most people know I live in Fantastic St Kilda (with no garage)
and have had my Honda CRV SPORTS (BIG BLOCK) keyed from
the passengers door to the rear panel. As it is metalic paint they
will have to paint the whole side.Hence I will be keeping the GIRL GOLD PRAM ( as all the blokes at work call it ) until I have a place
with a double garage.

Its not worth having a good car unless you can have it garaged
at night (even in quiet suburbs)

P.S. Aussie Mike, I'm glad you mentioned the dressing gown, if not
the Firies might want you on their next calendar

Had to put on the dressing gown as dancing naked round a fire is something I only do on special religious occasions.

Translation please.

Thanks,
Chris

You dancing nude around a fire Mike !! Yes what is the world coming to?

Went out Tuesday morning to my car (left in the street cos the wifes mum had her car in the driveway when I got home) to find some little ars ^%$ les have badged my car all over. Every logo etc. missing and a nice scratch left behind for each one. Got a quote for the badges & its $230 for badges then ??? for the paint repairs.

As you say you cant own anything nice without someone wanting to let you know they'd like to own one.

Just a nice complement who be ok

Hey don't leave my Cobra out will you......**)

trularin 07-15-2005 07:12 AM

If you were in Detroit, you just watch.

In my area, you come out of the house with a shotgun at that hour. %/ But, since you all decided to give up your guns, you have to shoot with the water hose.**)

Do you have a neighborhood watch or something?

Maybe you can ask for extra patrols from the police.

Sorry to hear this happened and am glad to hear no one was injured.

CobraEd 07-15-2005 07:23 AM

I think that we have all heard just about as much as we need to know about male "dressing gowns" !!!!
