hi blair,
ive been looking here http://allthingscobra.tripod.com/blue_gallery.html and here http://www.primequip.net/products/Pr...nt_choices.htm im leaning towards the lexus blue , wedgewood or royal blue. just cant decide. if i know what yours is and its one of these, descision made. thanks dean |
I chose my colour from that lineup!
If you really want to know I'll tell you. However the three options you gave me (lexus, wegewood and royal blue) I do not have! But if I was going to go Blue (hint hint)I would go a 'darker' blue. Be aware of how bright / contrast your screen is. It makes a big difference and in real life the colour is often different to what you have on our screen. |
Hard of hearing
Blair,
Car looks fantastic, I had 2x 12 inch subs behind my seats in an enclosure and they were driven by an 1800watt amp. You could feel them in your back but unfortunately the sound is terrible, with the wind noise and the moan of the side pipes it was hard to hear anything. I have found the best solution is an ipod, the ear plug speakers knock out most of the side pipe noise and the sound is very clear. I loved the look of the speakers, but turned out to be a waste of time and money. This is my experience, but my engine and side pipes are pretty noisy, this may not be the case with other cars. Yeah, our first Cobra had a stealth sub enclosure. Sounded fantastic even when standing a few meters behind the car. It still sounded ok in the vehicle at highway speeds, but the wind/exhaust noise really hurts the experience...just amazing how loud you had to run it to get any decent sound when travelling at speed.
Good advice from PhilM, these days I do long Cobra trips with MP3 player...perfect. |
HHHhhhmmmm.
For a start they are 6x9 speakers beind the seats, not subs. Subs weigh to much. Weight = hp loss. With the hard top on and cruising at 100 they sound absolutely awsome. Maybe because my exhaust note isn't as loud as others or maybe because I spent a small fortune on a well thought out system. Who knows Overall there is no way in hinds sight I would take them out. Metallica (and 40 other gig of music on the ipod) and 90 something decibals of exhaust is enough to scare any granny in any neighbourhood. |
Hmmmmmmmm...............
Blair - I got one of the kids to check out the neighbourhood, but no sign of the stealth Cobra unless its where I think it is%/ %/ %/ When are you out in the burbs next? You must be close to registering??? Oh and Metallica    not quite Barry Manilow:( :( :p |

We will have to firm up on the time on the 13th as I return that afternoon from a week on Straddie - no the Cobra is not going (wouldn't get on the barge). The better half will be in her jacked up Jeep ferrying me around (from pub to pub).
Is your Cobra in Alex Hills, possibly on the Circuit???? Sorry Les, I knew you were not into Barry, you being a Nat King Cole man:p Now there's a trivia thread - what movies had a snake involved.... Stallone Cobra Anaconda Slave of a Cannibal God etc etc etc etc Hijacked - sorry! |
