I think You and I will be fighting it out for the slowest time Michael. I don't care though, I'll just be thrilled to be there in my own car.

Cheers

Well done Mike, excellent news.

If you are not the fastest you certainly will be the loudest with those dump pipes you have in store for us all

Have you got accommodation sorted out?

Hi Lowbelly,
I think I will give you a run for the slowest time on the day. This will be the 1st time on a track for the car and driver so will be taking it easy.
Cheers
Brett

Hi Leigh, My wifes family are from Wangaratta so I'll be staying with them.

For me it'll be the first time out of 1st and 2nd gear. My car still has less than 1000 meters on the clock.

Cheers

Family

HI Mike,
Is your family going with you.

Phil

Aussie Mike 04-10-2007 06:41 PM

Hopefully Lily and Lauren will drive up on Saturday. They probably wont get there till mid day or so. Lily doesn't want to have a go on the track just yet but she wants to come out and have a look some time on Saturday. Lauren is keen to see Daddys Cobra go. She's had several rides up and down the driveway and loves it.

Cheers

If I recall correctly, last year there was some time for familiarisation and 2up in a car at road speed... NOT race speed.

that is a great opportunity for spouses, girlfriends and family members to get the feel of a race track in a proper racing cobra.

Of course the organisers can now abuse me if this won't happen this year... But I hope it does. :o

As an offer to any builders or drivers who want to ride in a different car, I am traveling solo and would be happy to take anyone around if the opportunity presents itself.

Regards

Cameron

Stef and Geoff !

are they an Item

Stef was going if I could arrrange a trailer but that plan went out the window
The trailer I was going to tow is being used by the owner that weekend. Stef wont drive the car that far, as for Geoff I've got no idea they might be at the breky on sunday , you going , might see you there.

stuartt 04-11-2007 12:55 AM

the quick guy's got down to around the 1min 37sec mark if i recall correctly last year, just a few at that speed then the times blew out pretty quick if my memory serves me right

stiffy 04-11-2007 01:16 AM

Times

My best time was a 1.43 before the incident:JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE

Anything in the low 1.40's is pretty quick, the 5 litre boys were around the 1.49 to 55's with street tires.

I'll be happy to get round in under 2 minutes.

It's getting serious. I went and bought a car trailer today.

 Hey Phil , just a quick question

How much quicker than last year do you think you will be this year , and have you got any spare kill stickers for my door ,might need a few

stefanog 04-11-2007 03:45 AM

No Winton unfortunately.

Hey guys, reading this thread makes me want to just pack up and go! I, unfortunately have been signing contracts with certain companies which will see me actually "working" (splatter, splatter, what a terrible word!) on a Monday and Friday thus leaving me right out of contention  I hope you all have a great time and please Pete and Phil, take it easy and take heaps of shots! and yes, I will be at the brekky Sunday, so will see you there!

Stef :)

Philm 04-11-2007 05:44 AM

Bloody hope so!

HI Peter,
Last year I did a 1.50 with the stock 5ltr and road tyres. The car is much quicker now so we will have to see.

Kill stickers, just one left, its name is Wazza:3DSMILE:

We do have a round at Eastern creek on Sunday but we are not going as the car won't be ready, so yep we will be at the breaky on Sunday.

We will be towing the car as it will be in "race trim" leaving Thursday late morning, when are you going?

Phil

Phil

Now boys....it's not important who's faster than who....it's all just for fun.

Sure.........

Just as long as Phil doesn't crack into the 1.30's I'm safe from any "sticker frenzy".

Philm 04-11-2007 03:02 PM

I don't think so

I would be very happy if I did a low 1.40.

Wazza I think your tme will be safe for this year anyway.

Phil

acecob 04-12-2007 02:21 AM

Oh by the way I'll be happy if the bastard doesn't run hot on me so I can get a few laps in, not really worried how quick I go if anything I'll have to drive or race so it doesn't spew its guts out. will find out soon
